It's hard to see how any men of peace could respect such a religion.

Yes. It seems the basis of Christianity has been so polluted by organized Religion that Jesus would probably not recognize it. That statement has probably been accurate since 1 AD.

Jesus was not a man of peace. That is a modern myth. The parable about turning your other cheek has very specific meaning in Aramaic cultures and does not originate with Jesus. His followers carried swords. The "Messiah" was known and accepted to mean, long before Jesus used it, the rightful priest-king of Israel who would overthrow Israel's oppressors. It had no association with being the direct "son of God" at that time, and multiple people claimed the title (and were crucified by Rome for it).

That's why there was no Jewish law to put him to death. If he had claimed to be divine, they DID have a law to put such a man to death in Jewish law. Rome would not have cared. He threatened their rule, they crucified him, as noted by in Roman records (though it could have been another Jesus in the records, who knows).

How is such a man a man of peace, whatever his modern followers may think? They've followed him better than they might imagine, served Israel better than if they had all stayed Jewish or tried to become Jewish.

What an ally Christianity has been to the Jews once they got past their fear of them!

Now we have MUCH bigger issue to deal with: Islam.

Christianity is a religion but Jesus was not a religion. He is our Savior. Christianity is what man makes it to be. Some people forget what it's all about but don't judge everybody by one person. For the most part, most Christians are sincere and want to do what is right.

What kind of question is that? The words Christianity and Jesus are one and the same....they are not opposed to each other...It is those of the Jewish faith who do not believe Jesus was the Messiah.
If your question was meant to sound erudite...you have WAY missed the mark....
