If Bush lied, then the Dem's lied too. Kennedy, Pelosi, Clinton, Albright, Gore, Sharpton (yes he ran) and countless others to believed there were WMD's and commented on the subject prior to Bush ever entering office! Once he entered office, the Dem's in both the House and Senate voted overwhelmingly for war using the same intel Bush had. Blame Bush if you want, but he doesn't have the power to declare war, only Congress does.
Clinton lied about more than just Sex. He lied in two sexual harassment lawsuits against him (by Jennifer Flowers and Paula Jones) he lied to a grand jury, he lied to grand jury witnesses, he created false affidavits and obstructed justice, he lied to independent counsel investigators and all of which had nothing to do with Monica! You bought into the liberal spin that it was only about sex in the oval office, that is NOT what he was impeached for! He did however lie to the American people on live TV address about sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky, but agian, thats NOT what he was charge for.
The Spying thing, well if you are receiving phone calls from the countries that sponsor terrorism (Iran, Afghanistan, Libya) then you might want to watch what you say. If you don't, don't worry about it.
Evolution, what do you care what someones personal beliefs are? If you were voting Republican (it dosn't sound like you are) and if that is a major concern for you, then take it in to consideration in the voting both. But if someone believes in Hindu or Voodoo, whats it to you?

The theory of Evolution is just that, a theory. It can never be proven. May I ask you this... If our government lies, and the presidents lie, and powerful officials are stripping us of our rights, etc, etc, then why would you believe people who tell you about evolution???
Remember that Clinton did nothing the first time the world trade center was attacked by in the early 90's. (Hillary would LOVE to strip us of all our rights)
It is not one party that is any better than the next.
The people as a whole need to come together !! Enough B.S. with Rep -v- Dem, black -v- white, christian -v- non-christian. Rome fell from within !!! And that is what is happening now.
The government has always lied. The difference now is that people know it and don't believe everything the gov. tells us

I agree, things are not the way they should be, I think it stems from the fact there is no high morals anywhere to be found.
Our president sure is not the leader that we need at this time, in fact he is a lot of the problem. I doubt if any of the candidates that are going to run have the proper moral fiber either, I am 72 years old and in those years I have never seen things as depressing as they are now.

I went through the same emotions you're struggling through right now shortly after I left high school... Twenty-six years ago.
It's kind of amazing everything we were taught in school about politics ends up falling well short of honor, dignity, respect, pride, independence and freedom doesn't it?
Considering the influence our government has on our school systems it isn't any wonder is it?
On one hand I feel sorrow towards you and on the other I'm happy you recognized this odd set of circumstances far too few people ever get the chance to have an awakening from.

It is because, unfortunately, people don't care, nor are they informed enough or intelligent enough to understand that the Constitution limited the control of the Federal Government. Then people voted into office Politicians that think their job is to use government to solve the problems of the US, when in reality, their job is to protect the citizens of the US from the government.
What do you expect from a country that places more votes for the "American Idol" than for the American President?

I think our Government is going to have a rude awakining they have been lieing and pushing around their own people long enough.I think that if they dont make some serious changes people will start to riot or cause other major problems.I dont want that to happen. But you can only push people so far, or lie to someone somany times before they push back.We were onece pushed too far by England and look what happend.

You seem to forget the terrorists and the car bombs and mortar attacks on the Iraqi people that are not done by our soldiers. I think fighting terrorists and preventing them from coming here and doing what they are doing in other countries is standing up for what we believe. And as for the spying? What are you talking about? If you have nothing to hide, then you need not worry about surveillance cameras and phone tapping that is used to catch criminals. I am not worried about them, so why should you be? They are very beneficial, and it is a shame that the government needs to use them, but they do help the small percentage who harm citizens. How do you think the eight doctors who tried to blow up the airports were caught in Great Britain? The world needs to be ever vigilant using whatever methods possible to prevent the small percentage that is trying to take over the world.
What have you done personally? Are you or have you ever been in the armed services? Do you vote in every election without fail? Do you write your state representatives and congress people? Do you belong to any grass roots movements who follow the movements of groups or individuals who are a threat to our nation?

George Bush is what happened to America. We got scared and gave him way too much power. Total power means total corruption. He shoved his way into the office and he has had thug politics ever since. All this while claiming his moral superiority and his family values. All he has done is gain the USA the hatred of the world and make more terrorists for us. He has caused the deaths of thousands and wants thousands more to die because he does not have the guts or the grace to admit he is incompetent. The US constitution, the very document that he swore to uphold, the same one our soldiers vow to uphold and defend, he calls it a God dmmed piece of paper. These rights that Americans have enjoyed since 1776 have been compromised during his administration.

A good majority of Republican Presidential candidates do believe in evolution (8 out of 11).
I have not had any of my rights stripped over the last six and a half years. In fact, my right to have more of my hard earned money has increased because the tax rates have been lowered.
