I don't know how they can't.

I also can't understand how people don't recognize the threat of the Bush Administration to our way of life.

Who DOESN'T recognize the threat of radical Islam? Who are you talking about? Nobody I've heard fails to acknowledge that this is a threat.

What is more dangerous are people who refuse to see the difference between moderate and radical Muslims. When they do this and attack all Muslims indiscriminately, they risk pushing more moderate and reasonable people into the radical camp because they feel they need protection.

i don't think it's a matter of not recognizing it, it's a matter of being afraid to admit it.

on one side, you have average americans who know that radical islam is a threat but are so blinded by political correctness and the fear of being called a racist that they remain silent.

on the other side, you have your typical america hating liberals who are so blinded by their hatred of bush and america that to them, admitting that radical islam is a threat means siding with both bush and america.

unfortunately, the only time radical islam terrorism will no longer be a mere political argument or something you hear about on CNN is when it becomes a grim reality for us and is happening in our own backyards.

How can anyone think that radical Islam can actually threaten our way of life? True, radical Muslims can threaten some of our lives, but that is very different from threatening our way of life. They can kill us and hurt us and blow up our buildings, but that won't hurt our freedoms or anything that makes us the great country that we are. The only people who have the ability to threaten our way of life are those we put in authority over us, and then only if we let them.

I think some just want to see everyone in this rosy picture of all are good and if we just find our why they hate us we can change things and they will stop wanting to kill us. The whole scenario John Kerry created in the last campaign where he wanted to treat the pursuit of terrorism as a "police" matter convinced me that they did not understand and that only under a Republican could we continue the policy that best makes sense keep them fighting on their turf and do not back down or negotiate with them.

We are not threatened by religion. we are threatened by groups of people with an agenda to bring down what, to them is a very large nation that, to them has too much influence in the world. The right or wrong here is not the point. The point is that religion really has nothing whatsover to do with it. Islam is just a tool, a rallying point.

I can not answer because it baffles me also. I guess as long as people can still have jobs their big homes and all the things that they feel are important, they just want to keep their heads in the sand and ignore all the warnings. We are too spoiled to see the dangers at our door.Since the shock of 9/11 we have fallen asleep. I just pray we don not aget another wake up call before we can see the dangers on our soil.

Not sure were you live, maybe your State is so weak that it could not defend its "way of life" from people that have No tanks, planes, or a real army of any kind.
But were I live the 2nd Amendment protects our way of life just fine from the Weak cowards of radical islam.
I feel sorry for any city so wimpy that they must worry about their "way of life" being challenged in such a manner.
It's sad really.

I don't think Americans realize what's really going on, and how close their freedom is about to be taken away. It has nothing to do with President Bush, but it does have to do with the Democrats working with the Communist Party. And Also Hollywood putting out propaganda films to influence the teenagers. Senator Joe Mccarthy was not only right, He was an American Hero. Communist Goals-Gain control of key position in radio, TV, and motion pictures. So, what are you going to do about it?

Screaming about "radical islam" really doesn't do anything to stop it.

Try finding out why these radical islamists want to do us harm and you might get somewhere.

If 'our way of life' is Haliburton in Dubai, sucking every drop of oil from the arabs, then I have to agree. What's going on is traditionally called 'guerrilla warfare'. It's as old as David and Goliath, and very hard to classify or defeat.

We getting out is what they want.
