For many years I have heard feminist members say that they wanted to fight for equality for women. However at times I believe their only goal is to fight against inequality against women. I have never heard them fight against issues in which men are discriminated such as divorce, child custody, and the criminal justice system.

As with all things there are as many different goals and opinions as there are members of the idealogy. Do ALL conservatives want to make abortion punishable by death? No. Do ALL conservatives support the war? No.

I believe the overarching premise of feminism is to make women equal to men, and anyone (even men) who believe this is right are feminists - not women who don't shave, are rabid androgynists and seek to remove men utterly from society. That is extremism.

This goal of equality has largely been achieved (though in some respects women are still treated as 2nd class, women are often payed less for doing the same job as men). Though there are some feminists who hate men and want to dominate and subdue them I don't think they are even a significant minority, let alone a majority.

actual they are able to't be (often speaking, i understand a chick that should probably pummel you yet she is a freak). the region I stay they are equivalent, even in jobs that are actual annoying (the region they probably should not be from a secure practices viewpoint). in accordance to a sprint prognosis women are in spite of the undeniable fact that paid much less in the same positions as person adult men. From what I see, optimal women adventure thnigs are ordinary. The feminists that are hardcore in basic terms pick some element to ***** approximately and blame for his or her spot in existence (because of the fact of being a cow yet won't take accountability) and for pastime. Bunch of chicks on their sessions bitching approximately person adult men. FYI thats why you obtain dumped women....

Your question is really too broad to be answered. "Feminist" does not mean any one thing . . . there are those who would like to see men eliminated and those who merely wanted to be treated as equals with all variations in between.

This would have been better served in the women's studies section.

Having said that, as a quite admitted feminist who was raised by a single dad, I totally agree with you.

why are you whining men have gotten the good stuff since the begining of humanity while we have been made to do your chores and cook your food and maybee we can eat the left overs from the floor, IF there are any.

its time that men got a taste of their own dust, it is not a mans world anymore but neither is it an equal world because no one listens to anything with boobs and a va jay jay only to rich short sticks and blue berries.
if women must get the upper hand in some things just to get equal on the full scale then so be it, we will.

I always say this, if they truly want to be equal, let them register for the draft upon their 18th birthday, then, I will shut up.

I always thought that feminism is to demand equal pay for the job whether it be held by a man or a woman.

To me, its not about gender roles, its just that I shouldn't be paid any less because I do not have a penis. The wage gap still exists (I've seen various figures, and its about 25 cent difference.)

To me, its a shame that the ERA was never passed...

The goal is equality of pay and opportunity.

If men feel there are inequality issues can they not represent themselves? Should females advocate for mens issues?

They're feminists. Not Masculinists.

Everyone fights for themselves first.
