Do they really expect me to believe that my life is worth the same as or less than a terrorist in training in some pipsqueak nation thousands of miles away?

Midcentury... it says all men are CREATED equal. It does not say that "all men are created equal and shall remain so throughout their lifetimes, and if necessary government shall intervene with redistributionist tax schemes to ensure such equality."

"created equal" that means at birth we all have the same GOD given rights. It says nothing about what path man or woman chooses to take after that. So yes, I think I'm better than some Islamofacist that want to kill me because his incestuous self proclaimed prophet told him so....

It's in the Declaration of Independence. Americans hold the truth of equality to be self-evident. We come into this world naked and defenseless. We go out not a whole lot different. In between, some of us are wealthy, some are poor. Some are smart. Some are stupid.

We remain equal before the law. And when that ends, so does America and everything that makes America worthwhile.

You don't like it? Nifty, move to the UK, where the circumstances of birth determine your worth. Don't try to impose it on my country, as I have taken an oath to oppose you to the best of my ability.

If the "terrorist" training in some "pipsqueak" nation comes under the jurisdiction of the United States, he or she will be my equal before the law. Indeed, of all the war crimes that Bush & Co have committed, the most serious has been the removal of victims to foreign lands that don't believe in equality and which torture as a matter of national policy.

The only thing more ridiculous than equality is the fact that I have to treat you as my legal equal. However, you are not my equal socially, intellectually, or spiritually, for which I thank my patron gods in all sincerity.

Actually, the idea that "All men are created equal" is Biblically based, and the phrase was used in the American Declaration of Independence. Are you calling the founding fathers "Lefty"?

You are EXACTLY right. People are so cattle driven into thinking that everyone is the same, should be given the same rights, earns the same as everyone else, blah blah blah. I have news for people: Capitalism is the epitome showing how people do not REMAIN equal. In its pure form, if some work harder than others, then those people succeed and reap more benefits than those who did not put as much effort in. Of course we are all created equal...it's our path in life that determines how worthy we are though. I am going to take a minute to be selfish and say that I am absolutely under EVERY circumstance better than some extremist claiming Jihad as the reason for killing innocent people...sorry, it is truth.

Get it right, "created equal" is the way it goes. What happens after creation is a whole other thing. Terrorists on any side of the ocean and on any continent deserve to die.

Well, we are all equal....Call me naive....But doesn't that document called the Declaration of Independence state this? Your right cookies, I stand corrected....The point is, in this country we are all equal...
