What's your stance and why?
Do we serve the ideals of equality better by getting rid of affirmative action or by mandating universities, corperations, etc, to meet quotas?

White House of Mirrors

President Bush has turned the executive branch into a two-way mirror. They get to see everything Americans do: our telephone calls, e-mail, and all manner of personal information. And we get to see nothing about what they do.

Everyone knows this administration has disdained openness and accountability since its first days. That is about the only thing it does not hide. But recent weeks have produced disturbing disclosures about just how far Mr. Bush’s team is willing to go to keep lawmakers and the public in the dark.

That applies to big issues — like the C.I.A.’s secret prisons — and to things that would seem too small-bore to order up a cover-up.

Why is it that people who question the " Official Version " of September 11th are called names such as wacko, nut-case,
conspiracy theorist, etc. ? Does having questions make one crazy ? Why do so many people believe that we must be sheep, and go right where we are led ? If that were the case, this country would never have declared independence from England.

I am being charged with some misdemeanors of domestic violence, but I had already bought $2500 tickets to go to Australia to visit colleges and short vacation. After my arraignment, can I just call for continuance and make it back in time for my court date and be fine?

I think to save the country we need to kick out of office ALL
(both parties and independent) incumbents. Start fresh.

Who's with me? Lets start a movement to rid the Senate and House of corrupt incumbents.

The evil monkey in the White House wasn't content to alienate just the left and the center with his Iraq invasion. Now he's alientated the right with his shamnesty bill - just give us amnesty and in exchange we'll finally give you border security - the 1986 big lie all over again.

When you go to the RNC website, there's a photo of the monkey shaking hands with an adoring crowd. This idiot is like a millstone around the Republican Party's chances of electoral victory in '08. When will the Reps wise up and dump the monkey?

when Katrina hit, everyone assumed most of the people with insurance would get thier claims processed without any strings attached right I mean it was a cat 3 if not 4 hurricane that had sustained winds of 135 mph right? It is common knowledge that those winds cause the storm surge but now the big insurance giants are trying to get the government to save thier ( bleep!) because the insurance companies call most of the damage flood damage this way they can weasle out of paying up by putting the pressure on fema and claiming that they can't tell the difference between wind and flood damage, this is your chance to answer this question for me
why do we allow these scam artist to even try this crap, should there be a federal law saying if the damage is caused by a hurricane( and it's 135 mph winds which led to biloxi miss being scoured off the map, ) the insurance companies must payup or face having their ASSetts sold off to compensate those whodeserve it the people who have paid

I am taking a police physical test in a few weeks and was looking at the requirements to pass. Why do women have it way easier? For example:
In 2 minutes men have to do 43 pushups. Women, however, only have to do 19. On running men are required to do 2 miles in 15:56. Women get an extra 3 minutes though. What gives? Wheres all this equality stuff I am always hearing?

I keep reading about police departments requiring a Honorable Discharge, so does that mean you must have joined the military and then been honorably discharged or can you still become a police officer without any military experience?
