I happen to think it might help to an extent, but war and violence seems to be mankind's nature. What do you think?

You all have made some great points. Perhaps generalizing women as somehow more peaceful is an assumption with flaws on my part.

I think it would only depend upon the Country and
the female leader, and not which sex is the most
violent.

Hmm. It's probably a bit simplistic to think that women are less likely to turn to violence and therefore female leaders would be less prone to engage in wars. Afterall, it's not usually a solo decision for the executive of a nation.

We might be more prone to give diplomacy a fairer chance.

Margaret Thatcher - Falklands War
Queen Elizabeth - invasion of the Netherlands and war with Spain.
Golda Meir - assassination of Palestinian agents around the world
Queen Anne's War
The last border war with Pakistan - was that fought during Indira Ghandi's term?

Another Example, though not all her fault: Marie Antoinette.

Beheaded to make way for the French Revolution. Pretty Violent affair there.

Changing sexes won't guarantee less war. Stuff happens.

You mentioned "Mankind" I think their would be less war but more conflicts (as if there is a difference) Woman are the best gift to men but they sure can be moody and if you ever been around a moody woman it sure feels like War. If you catch them at the right part of the month then there could be a chance of War. against anyone too. but I still love the ladies.

Margaret Thatcher is an example of a leader who was female, not a female leader.
It doesn't have anything to do with the gender of the puppet, though. It depends on the party and the powerful who can pressure them.

We are all different with different upbringing etc. So not all women would act the same in the same type situation. Just not all men don't act the same exact way in every situation.
For myself I am one of the most peaceful and easy going people I know. However mess with me or mine and be prepared to be distroyed.

Apparently you do not know women, no offense.

Many women take the smallest slight as an offront, and when women get into fights it is pretty vicious. Ever see a catfight?

No way. War would be just as likely. It's differences, hate and greed that start wars, and women are just as succeptable as a man to that.
