You are right!!! I use to date a lawyer that worked with Cesar Chavez in his early union days. He hated Illegals with a passion. She would recall how frustrated Chavez would be seated at the kitchen table. Talking about how the Big farmers would regularly bust his union by hiring Illegals. It's good to know that not everyone has bought into what the Aztlanistas/Reconquistias want the world to think about Cesear Chavez...A proud American. And to the 'pendejos' that refuse to admit this: Know that Cesear Chavez, Simpre llamava al la Migra quando encontrava pollios trabajando en el campo...

I don't think Cesar Chavez was against illegal people because he came froma an illegal family. The only thing he was fighting was a higher pay and better working conditions for the farm workeres which in manycases consisted of illegal immigrants! The reason why these Pro illegal people are using the name Cesar Chavez because he stood up for what he believed and these people are standing of what they believe isight!

Cesar was not against illegals, his agenda was making working conditions better for farm workers, not only Mexican But Filipinos, all farm workers. He was against employers using illegals to get around his unions wage demand and better working conditions. Cesar was a man of principals, I had walked with him on many picket lines, and I was proud to have been one of his bodyguards when he was in Arizona. Cesar was a man of peace, He earned his place in Chicano's heart by taking on the California Mafiosos and beating them, his cause was a just cause but the many fast he undertook ,finally took its toll.
But he showed Chicanos "Si Se Puede" Que Descanse en Paz.

Mireydi: Your point is correct but Cesar was from a Migrant family in Yuma, There is more truth in your answer, than most of the others put together.

mbs you do not know what you are talking about, Cesar was a man of non-violence(I was not) but to be in the movement I had to follow the road of non-violence. He hated no one, he had a great love for people and a special love for his own people.I knew him as,a person ,a leader and a friend. he
slept in my house." El Pendejo eres Tu"

Somehow they equate Chavez hate of Americans, and America as they do, and without thinking. You know that he too was against illegals.
