Yes, it is a Felony.
To carry a concealed firearm, the weapon must be registered and the person must have a permit to carry concealed. If your friend is on probation, he probably does not have a permit to carry concealed.

In order to legally carry a concealed weapon one must have a valid concealed weapons permit. Depending on what this person is on probation for he may have had his right to carry a gun revoked. Either way he's ******.

You can always call the District Attorney's office and get the answer there. I would have to venture a guess that it is a felony.

It's legal only with a permit and license. And if this person is on probation, he has no business with a gun. If he's caught, his butt will be thrown into the slammer.

I can say that california is a hard state to get a permit to carry a concelled weapon. but to even purchase one you need a hand gun safety certificate. as for job hunting tell your friend to get the heck out of california it isn't worth it to stay.

NO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OWN AND CARRY A GUN! they do, however, make you take classes to get a permit.
They try to get around the second amendment any way they can.
