I have just consulted a friend in law enforcement about a case regarding my stepson (14 years old) and him using 40 fake (counterfeit) bus tickets that were used to go and come back from school. The value in all was $60. According to her, this is a class c felony in my state (utter forgery). However, when I asked about the possible punishment, i didn't receive much of an answer because she said that she wouldn't hazard a guess. This is his first offense and he is pretty much a good student (straight A's normally). And he is remorseful. He was caught by a bus driver using them 2 months ago (of course, i didn't out until weeks later), so i don't know whether charges were pressed. There were survelliance cameras on the bus (so they will most likely identify him) and not to mention his fingerprints. What are his chances of being sent to a juvenile detention center or probation? He is planning of pleading guilty, but i think its best that we consult an attorney. thnx

Dick Morris stated that their BEST strategy was in well timed releases of harmful information, which they COULD control. Making the problem out to be BIGGER than it was to take focus OFF of what they couldn't spin well. Case in point--Gerth's book, Her Way. According to Morris Hillary will paint herself as the victim by portraying this as the vast right conspiracy's snooping into her PRIVATE marriage--thus taking the focus off her numerous other scandals, her continuous ethics problems, her flip flops etc. Never under estimate her ambition!

You've probably seen it and I know I have - Rudy Giuliani is being implicated as being responsible for the 9-11 attacks.

What was he supposed to do? Transform into Superman and hold off the planes? Order the pilots not to fly the planes into the WTC and expect them to follow his command (One terrorist says to the pilot terrorist, "you can can't do this Rudy said not to" "Oh, OK, mission is off") Anyone care to offer a solution to stopping the planes from hitting if you were the mayor of NYC instead of Rudy?

If you're a former sports announcer now giving ridiculous political editorials for MSNBC, I'm looking in your direction, buddy.

I work for a major supermarket for about a year now.Since the day I started we had the employee handbook rammed down our throat one bit specifiacally said"we will not put up with any bullying or harrassment in any way shape or form" I have been treated badly by a member of staff since I started.First she wouldnt speak to me at all. Then she started having a go at me but not to me...the remarks were about me but to another member of staff so I could hear.
She had a go at me for chatting to a customer and another colleague and I went to management to complain which we believed to be confidential. He told her and only about me...this has made her worse. When customers ask me where something is and I dont know I ask her...she ignores me and in affect the customer.
She has even started telling other colleagues that I have made formal complaints about them...I havnt but they wont speak to me now.I DREAD going to work now.Hubby says I should leave and sue the supermarket. What should I do?

If he's really about democracy why is he using 911 to scale back our rights with random wiretaps on anyone they see fit and ignoring geneva conventions when it comes to how long he can hold prisoners without evidence and the treatment of them?

Why does he complain about Putin scaling back on democracy when he's doing the same?

If his agenda is spreading democracy in the middle east why does he call Pakistan (a dictatorship) his ally and why did he cry foul when the Palestinians voted in members of Hamas in free elections?

Seems to me his agenda is not democracy but rather having puppet governments all over the middle east who will kiss his butt regardless if its a government chosen by the people or a dictator.I think our foureign policy is going to be our downfall when the rest of the world community finally has had it with our meddling in everyones affairs.Any thoughts? (In polls world wide even ally countries call US the biggest threat to the world over terrorism).

she says: US police officers can go to iraq and become military police w/o having gone through military bootcamp....also they can be military police in Iraq and come home and become street police officers.

I say: even if they are police at home they have to have gone through boot camp prior to becoming a military police, just like every other soldier. they cannot be US street police officers and just head to iraq and become military police. they need more training.

which of us is right? there's $20 on this, lol.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
