If you haven't left yet be sure to take a long a little hostess gift.... some flowers, a book, some fresh herbs tied with ribbon, a thank you card with a book mark, pretty stationary tied with a ribbon, things like that. Since it is at her home this appropriate and appreciated, shows good manners on your part.

Absolutely go. If you are nervous about not having been personally invited by the hostess, ask the lady who did invite you if you could go together, and have her introduce you around. The more contacts you make the easier this tour will be on you. I am ubershy as well, and had alot of trouble with hubby's first tour. It takes practice, but for the most part FRGs can be a useful resource for information, so put yourself out there! Good Luck and Thank you for your service too!

FRG is open to all spouses of unit members. It is hoped that you participate. By all means go.

edit: For courtesy sake you could call, just in case she is preparing refreshments. If you are new then it was most assured it was an oversight not to invite you.

If you want to go, go. If the host gets huffy about it remind her that the FRG is there to support family members.
