Not like any of us would really know, but do you believe they are doing it now?

Do you support it?

I do. I believe that if eliminating a leader quietly can prevent a War, I'm all for it. (Provided no ties are shown to America or the CIA)

Replublican and Proud.

have just consulted a friend in law enforcement about a case regarding my stepson (14 years old) and him using 40 fake (counterfeit) bus tickets that were used to go and come back from school. The value in all was $60. According to her, this is a class c felony in my state (utter forgery). However, when I asked about the possible punishment, i didn't receive much of an answer because she said that she wouldn't hazard a guess. This is his first and LAST offense and he is pretty a good student (straight A's normally). And he is remorseful. He was caught by a bus driver using them 2 months ago (of course, i didn't out until weeks later), so i don't know whether charges were pressed. There were survelliance cameras on the bus (so they will most likely identify him) and not to mention his fingerprints. What are his chances of being sent to a juvenile detention center or probation? He is planning of pleading guilty, but i think its best that we consult an attorney. thnx

This is a country founded by immigrants and has a long history of independence.
Why do they have to live in poverty their whole lives just because they are not born in the United States of America?-to beleive that they do is arrogant and even discrimatory ( not rascist).

As the Republicans are surely going out of business, what else do you propose for the Republicans besides war, tax breaks for the rich and higher prison spending? They will probably be replaced by the more relevant Green Party.

All this after he told NYPD and FDNY that the toxic dust at ground zero was safe to breathe???

Advocates for the poor and leading Democratic presidential candidates keep stating that something must be done about the growing numbers of poor people in the USA.
In my mind, I envision scenes from The Grapes of Wrath being experienced all over America, based on their rhetoric.
As much as the media in the USA loves to sensationalize every little event that comes along, I don't understand why reports and pictures of these hoards of homeless families, with their belongings tied to the family wagon, haven't appear on the nightly news as yet. The news networks had a field day for weeks on end over the plight of the homeless victims of Katrina. Where is the coverage of the hoards of the poor, homeless people, whose suffering we are being led to believe a Democratic vote will relieve? Or, has the standard of living improved in the USA to the point that the term "poor" now relates to an entirely different class of people?

I was talking to my economics professor the other day and he was talking about how the American economy is in the best shape it's ever been (like GDP is at an all time high, growth is strong and constant, cyclical unemployment is at 0, average earnings are up, productivity is up, etc.), but a recent poll showed that most Americans think that the economy is doing poorly.

What would cause people to think that?
