Not like any of us would really know, but do you believe they are doing it now?

Do you support it?

I do. I believe that if eliminating a leader quietly can prevent a War, I'm all for it. (Provided no ties are shown to America or the CIA)

Replublican and Proud.

I think in the world we live in there are time when bad people need to die. Sometimes there is no "legal" way to do this. So we send in the spooks. Yes, I believe we have paid killer on our governemnt payroll. I think its sad but necessary. And these paid spooks have rules, but not the same ones you and I go by.

By Presidential order [Jimmy Carter], this isn't permitted.

I must admit though, If I were President and some foreign power had tried to assassinate a politician elsewhere, I'd be sorely tempted to conclude that they had just exempted themselves from the scope of President Carter's order.

Probably, I'd think better of it in the morning and not do anything.

For the little nagging details as to why -- how could I know that a) the CIA wouldn't bungle the job, b) the operative(s) involved wouldn't sell their story to some publisher, and c) someone else's similar service wouldn't make the same decision about me??

Food for thought.

There is a law i believe that makes it illegal without a presidential order, though i doubt Bush has any problem signing them. It is also fact that the CIA are not allowed to do their dirty work in America itself so they contract it out to either foreign intelligence services or now more than likely internal mercenary firms like blackwater.

What make you think they limit to foreign leaders. Does anyone seriously believe they didn't have JFK done.

I highly doubt they're killing off innocent individuals.
They're more concerned about terrorists, foreign countries, hardcore criminals.

I wouldn't support the CIA misusing its power to kill anyone unless they're a direct threat to the United States or any other country.

CIA serve the interests of the very few in the US... Not sure I would enjoy knowing that they can kill anyhow for their own pleisure or needs. This will become no better than simple death squads!
And yes CIA do have to kill, more than often... Their victimes just get strange diseases... Remember Arafat??

There is no proof that this has ever happened.
Just stupid rumors like Bush being in on 9/11.
No, I'd be against the CIA assassinating anyone.

Thou shall not kill.

If we approve that path, then in no time, we will be a dictatorship.
Who would stop them from killing our own leaders.
Can you say JFK?
