No, there will be a black president before there is a Mexican-American president. So once there is a black president then you know that America is on the cusp of accepting a Mexican-American as president.

I'm only ready for an American president. We HAVE a bilingual Spanish president and have often had bilingual French and Latin Presidents, if you go back far enough.
Their heritage isn't important to me, so long as they are for Americans, now. I would see dual citizenship as a conflict of interest, however.

What's the worst that could happen? I mean unless he decides that since he has family in Mexico he's going to ban any laws restricting illegal immigrants? In which case you better learn English cuz me no comprende español. And I'm not spending tax dollars for you to come over here and live my American life without any consequences!

Although not Mexican-American, George H.W. Bush, father of the current President, speaks fluent Spanish. So do a number of United States senators, Congressmen/women, and several state governors. So what's the big deal? Que Pasa, hombre?

You cant be a Mexican-American and be the President of the United States. You must be an AMERICAN! If you were born here and then you are an American! There is no such thing as a Mexican-American. You are either Mexican or you are American.

Sadly, probably not. We've never had a female, African American, or a president of any other religion besides Christian. Chances are, most people couldn't handle a president that isn't white, male, Protestant, or Middle aged.

My mother told me that any American should be allowed to be President...After reading some of the answers above me. I guess she was wrong. I guess according to the people on Yahoo Answers power is only reserve for certain types and other people should be excluded.
