Boy have you been brainwashed. The GOP has managed to hold on to their slim base of support by convincing gullible people like yourself that they're the only ones who can stop terror.
Meanwhile the truth is that the worst act of terror occurred during their watch despite the fact that they had ample warning that there would be an attack and what type of attack it would be.
Despite what your neo-conservative puppet masters tell you, the liberals are not soft on terror. They recognize the threat and would be effective at stopping it. They just don't use the possibility of terrorism as a means of maintaining blind loyalty among their supporters. More importantly, they're not willing to give up our constitution and civil liberties to chase down false leads and keep everyone afraid.
I can tell from the way your question is worded that you're not very well educated. I suggest you not only stay in school, but you make an effort to learn as much as you can about this subject - from many sources, not just your neo-con scare freaks.

No, it 9/11 didn't do it, nothing will. I remember watching the History Channel about Pearl Harbor. Few people in the States knew where even Hawaii was, let alone Pearl Harbor. Yet, once it was attacked, guys were lined up around the block of the recruiters' offices for weeks. Friends of my father's who had joined the army for an 18 month stint, ended up being in for 6 years and going all the way to Berlin.
9/11 was in the heart of NYC. More than the military people who were killing at Pearl Harbor were killed--and all of them were civilians who had just gone to work that day. And still, liberals want to do nothing.

I hate the thought of it but my catch line till after the 2008 elections is THROW ALL THE BUMS OUT!!!!!!

It would probably end up worse though because the electorate is ignorant to the Constitution and we would probably end up with a military backed dictatorship

Maybe if the White House stopped giving tax cuts to the rich, participating in stupid photo ops, and trying to push a divisive socially conservative agenda, all in a time of war, then maybe they would take Bush more seriously. I know I would.
