OK, I'm a liberal, but, you really have to wonder how incredibly insipid and narrow minded our democratic leaders can be! Global warming requires addresing, BUT NOT IN THE SENSE OF DEFENSE SPENDING.

Jerry Falwell and Osama Bin Laden had the same views.

Look it up.

Look, I'm not stating my opinion on the man one way or the other- I am too ignorant to formulate one. BUT, are Republicans really abashedly seeking the solace of studying their shoes while hoping for the next Great Leader? Are they in a panic?
And will we finally be allowed to teach evolution as the best theory we have available?

If not, don't you think maybe there's a better way to prevent terrorists from operating in this country?

If we give governments tools like this and there's a chance for abuse, I think the powers will be abused. Current adminstration included.

President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Today, TODAY!, they think that they have found evidence to support a theory that there were more killers of the President than the one 'convicted' in popular opinion and US governmental findings (L.H. Oswald). My question: If it takes 44 YEARS to come up with a final answer to that question (and we still don't know if it's final), why, and how, can we expect the same type of government panel to come up with the "REAL" reason behind the starting the Iraq war?

The term, "Ignorance of the law is no excuse", means that you are responsable to comply with the law, even if you do not know that the law exists!
My question is this:
Seeing as how there are hundreds of thousands (millions) of laws in this country (USA), and even Judges, arguably the most knowledgable as far as the law goes, require that precident, and statute be quoted to them, How can it legally be expected for the average person, who has NO contact with the law, theory about the statutes and court rulings, be held to a higher standard than the judges in thier court rooms?
How can the public be expected to know and understand the law when their are so many laws passed constantly and those laws are always written in legalese and are all but unintelligible and purposely written so that the average Joe (or Jane) cannot possibly figure out the meaning?

A True Soldier is tough indeed
standing tall and strong when there is a need
A Soldier also feels sadness, pain, and sorrow
Sometimes not looking forward to the trials of tomorrow

When a Soldier is wounded in battle
the nerves of his buddies it does rattle
When news reaches friends and family at home
how their worries and minds begin to roam

A wounded Soldier feels inadequate at best
stopping him from much needed healing rest
A wounded Soldiers wonders will he ever be alright,
trusting in God that he'll make it through the night.

When a Soldier is wounded far beyond repair
the loss and pain felt can not compare
The Cost of a Soldier is set so very high
they assure our freedom will always apply

To stand beside a Soldier and walk through his pain
will humble a civilian, no longer to complain
Love, patience, trust and hope is what a Soldier needs
to get them through some very treacherous deeds

Dear Lord please watch over our Military today
as they work to keep our freedom everyday
For the wounded and the families of Soldiers lost
Please Bless them with abundant love, for we know not the cost.

The Cost of a Soldier is set so very high
our support for them we should never deny

get so upset when you prove that they are in fact SOCIALISTS?

Do you remember that quote, I think it was Shakespeare, "me thinks thou doth protest too much", meaning that it would not bother you if it were untrue.

People call me all sorts of names here, none of them bother me because they are not true. And should they be intutitive or intelligent enough to find out what I am really about, it would not bother me either since I am not ashamed of what I am.

So I guess the socialists do not want anyone to know the truth, but of course they have been going on like that since Lenin.

Isn't this restricting Paul's 1st Amendment right to speak his mind? Not to mention that Paul's comments echo those of many published reports about our meddling in Middle Eastern politics.

I seem to recall many neocons standing up for Don Imus after his idiotic comments, so why are the neocons proposing to censor Ron Paul now?

This should be fun.....
I believe in upholding the Constitution. I believe in true free speech. I believe in more money for education. I would like a national free health care plan. I don't care if gays want to marry. I believe in a God. I want my children to grow up with manners but I will respect the decisions they make as adults. I get along with people of all different races. I think the "War on Terror" is BS. I respect our soldiers but don't like the job they are required to do right now. I think a woman has a right to choose if she wants an abortion but don't think it should be used as a form of birth control. I want lower taxes and higher wages. I want illegal immigrants to leave or pay taxes like me. I do not like GW Bush and his administration. I vote. hmmmm...just curious to what political profile you will give me...

chances are that they would be dreadful parents and would have to stay in portugal for fear of of beng lynched when they got home.

don't get me wrong i do feel for the mcann family but can't help thinking that it could be so different.

He's on disability because he needs to get back surgery. She's already taken him to court for back child support, which he can't afford because he's not working. But since she learned she's not getting paid out that way she's coming to my son's baseball practice's and photographing him coaching the kids. The Dr's told him to get out and move around. Telling kids to run and catch isn't all that strenuous. She's told him that if he doesn't promise to pay her some of his settlement (from the accident that caused him to need surgery) that she'll show the pictures of him. I'm not worried about the pics, it's that she's creeping around, and vindictive. I'm afraid she'll do something destructive, she has a record of being suicidal, she's thrown things near our children, and she's wished that my son never existed! I told him to get a restraining order and he thinks that with out any evidence we don't really have anything to go on. I want to protect my family.
