The thing is... my sister-in-law lives in America and keeps asking for us to visit.the only thing is i was a silly girl and took the blame for something 24yrs ago and got a criminal record for it which is now i believe classed as spent. i have been on the right side of the law ever since, not even a parking ticket.
Could i just go and say nothing or would i have to declare it?

I just watched a local news story about him. . . not very detailed as usual for our local networks . Anyway, they said they'd have more at 11pm . But I'm not gonna wait to see it, only to find out their reporting was lacking at best . This guy lives right down the street from me, and only 1 day after the article appeared, he resigned from a leadership position at our local nuclear plant !!
Have you seen the article ? And do you have a link ?

In Australia we don't have National Service anymore, apart from Israel i'm not sure if anyone does, maybe Greece or Italy ? My father did his National Service but WW2 was at an end, thank God ! Our Militia or National Servicemen were all that stood between Australia and the Japanese on the Kokoda Trail in Papua New Gunea & Borneo, prior to the arrival of the US armarda and the return of the Australian Imperial Force from Northern Africa to defend their own soil. They were able to hold on and force the Japs to develope a new phrase for retreat which was "Advance to the rear" ! as there was no known word for withdraw or "retreat" in the Japanese Army. So the efforts of National Servicemen should never be overlooked especially as they were only ever trained to fight on home soil if ever needed ! O r as a back up force to the Regulars.

With all the misdirection in todays youth shouldn't they re-introduce Composory National Service to instill National Pride, commitment and a work ethic?

He must have been certain that this war in Iraq was going to be a cake walk.

Since that hasn't turned out to be the case, we are having serious trouble getting a sufficient amount of qualified people to enlist in the military.

The entire military community is re-evaluating its position that the Republican party gives the military a more fair treatment than the Democratic party does.

In the meantime however, young people are shying away from enlisting during a time when we are bogged down in a serious military conflict abroad.

By his miscalculations about Iraq, hasn't George W. Bush done serious harm to our entire military?

When people vote for a republican a large portion do it because the person running is pro-life, anti-sodomy, or because they want illigal immagration stopped. All the above Rudy does not fit the mold. Why are people saying this guy has more of a chance than Ron Paul and some of the other runner ups, I have no clue.

If a teenage couple get married in one state or country, then visit another state or country where one or both of them is below the legal age of consent, do they have to refrain from having sex while in the second place?

I have no personal reasons for asking this question. I'm just interested in finding out the answer, having followed a debate on related legal issues in the newspapers where I live. (I asked a similar question some time ago on this forum and got a variety of different and contradictory answers--so maybe there will be more success this time around.) No guesses please--just answer if you know the answer. Thanks!
