The USA and the Cuban government under Cuban-American treaty of 1903 signed a 99 year perpetual lease establishing a US Naval Base. The rent was and still is 2000 gold coins per year which the Cubans ($4000) never cash. We still maintain the base even though the 99 years are over because by perpetual it means that only 1 country is required to re-establish the lease per year.

We obtained Cuba from Spain in the Spanish American war. Guantanamo hasnn't been Cuban for over a hundred years. There's precious little Cuba can do about it.

well, we used to own cuba. it was some result of the Spanish-American War, actually the first cuban president was american... and "sold" / "leased" the land to US for pennies...
we´ve had it for well over 100 years...
why can´t the cubans expel it... well, if you didn´t know, the US has the strongest military in the world. what do the cubans have?

What 'monstrosity'? You mean the CARIBBEAN HOTEL FOR SUSPECTED TERRORISTS? Our civilian poor don't get the goodies those animals get. Free food, free clothing, free counseling, free holy books/prayer rugs, free medical...etc etc etc. DO YOU get all that?
Have you ever been to Gitmo? Or do you just listen to those loud mouth, know nothing, whiny a.s.s., spineless, lily livered cowards on talk radio?
Go play with your Barbi and GI Joe dolls.
