Suppose a future President of the USA suddenly decides to convert America into a empire and declares himself emperor (Like Palpatine in Star Wars), what would you do?

BTW, the news just reported that U.S. and German officials have info that a terrorists attack is against Americans in Germany is imminent !!

But back to the question, I've seen people deny that we need a war on terror and I just can't believe that any American could possibly believe that . So what's the deal with people like that ? Delusional ? Subversive ? Or not really Americans afterall. . . maybe terrorists posing as Americans ?

The protesters of the Vietnam war expressed disgust at the war AND the soldiers. This time around, protesters are against the war but are (I believe rightfully so) placing the blame only on the shoulders of Congress and not the soldiers directly. But many the soldiers of the Vietnam war were drafted so outrage directed at the soldiers was even *less* warranted than it could be today. What do you think has changed in the minds of the American people for this to occur? Any anecdotes from Vietnam vets would be appreciated.

The World Bank is owned by the investors and controled by the 24 members of it's board. Which all are members of the Skull&Bones Society. Which is not a Government job either.

So where lies the power and athority.

When it comes to healthcare, I am nervous that its quality may decline for me. But I'm scared to death that it will provide the excuse for government to micromanage my life even more than the income tax code does. You can already see it in the debates about motorcycle helmets. The idiocy question aside, the big argument says "since society is paying your medical bills, it gets to dictate what risks you can take.
They get to control both your body, and the amount and quality of care that you receive. They will use treatment, or the threat of witholding treatment, the same way they use entitlements, subsidies and regulations today. Every aspect of your life will be politicized, and the last vestiges of human liberty, snuffed out.

O'Reilly from Fox News, doesn't like illegal aliens, and doesn't believe that they should be given any special rights, or a free pass as a citizen of U.S. Now, he has labeled Democrats as Liberals, and goes on to tell us, Dems, that we are do gooders who want to give the illegals all rights and citizenship, how does this makes sense? Corporations, and businesses using illegal aliens to replace U.S. citizens and save themselves a bundle of money, are aligned with the Republican party. Why would a Democrat, who is losing his or her job, losing healthcare, and losing money, due to the influx of illegal aliens, support giving them citizenship and rights??? O'Reilly can't have his cake and eat it too. If he is against illegals in the U.S. he is going to have to face it that he, just like us Democrats, don't fit the label that he is stamping us with. Talk about twisting the facts to fit your argument? Does anyone eles have a problem with being labeled, cause it doesn't fit what you are?

Regardless of what political party you back. Who here is in agreement that this country is headed in the wrong direction and things need to change in Congress and in the White House? I'm not looking for insults on parties or the president, so don't post them.

I dont understand the games being played in this farce of the people of PuertoRico ,to [vote] for staus , statehood [ death ] Independence[ dignity] or commonweath, [colony]. Is all farce! Why has congress not resolve the issue with dignity , as pertains to laws of the United nations? be sincere! No excuses! Spain never did sign the Paris Treaty of 1898, so the United States in accordance with international laws, must act accordingly!!

It is time to send everyone home and to take care of the legal citizens of this country. With a smaller labor pool, people will be able to find work and wages will increase as market demands higher wages from a smaller labor pool. Support ending immigration and work visa's in the USA.

If we do not enforce immigration laws when Congress changes them, which our country has not, why does anybody think new, more complicated laws will be enforced? Does anybody else think we just need to secure our border and enforce the laws we already have before we embark on new laws?

If you live in a the US, it is a capitalist country. This means you basically sell yourself. If a sports figure makes millions, its because their is a market for the talent. Not just anyone can do it. There is no cap. As long as someone is willing to buy the product (their is a market) you can charge what the markey will pay. What is so hard about this concept? And would you want someone putting a cap on YOUR salary?

I have posted before about a car being taken. Well I reported it to the local police and they said that it was stolen and passed the case onto the prosecuting attorney. Well after almost 3 months the prosecutor said that it is a civil matter that it is an illegal repossesion. I called the court house and they said that for something like this I would have to have an attorney. Well I can not afford an attorney. Does anyone know what else I can do? This happened in Missouri and the car is now in IL. The IL. police said if it happened there they would have had it back the same day. So why can't my local police do the same?

Because it seems that Bush is planning for DC to get nuked as per this "security directive" issued 5/10/2007.
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/05/20070509-12.html

Think about it and remember 9/11 WAS an inside job and the government has plenty of spare nukes.

Did I mention that "Homeland Security" has run three "interagency drills" in the last year where the assumption is a nuke going off in Baltimore harbor...google it

Why would anyone like to pay taxes? The people responsible for the taxation all have jobs, so please don;t tell me that it is because they don;t have jobs. Also, it can;t be about getting votes, since no dem in history has ever run on the 'raise taxes' platform. I need to understand this mentality, so try to explain it in a way that makes sense to me. Thanks.
