The British were so arrogant back then that they didn't think they needed to cover or run when fighting the U.S. Isn't that the same in Iraq where the terrorists can see us but we can't see them. Isn't this the recipe for a defeat for the U.S. eventually just like the Mighty British got defeated?

They are universally against CHOICE, in schools, they do not care where your kid goes to school but your dollars will stay in the government schools.

They always talk for all Americans, ie All Americans want this or that

Clinton drove the economy towards the ground, and it was only during the bush administration that the economy improved. As for the budget "surplus", it was only an illusion so not really existant under clinton. So there.

I was contacted by a man who obtained my phone # from a Home Remodeling Show about some windows. He doesn't have a license, but business cards printed "Design Consultant" saying he does windows & more. He came to my house measured for windows, got paid 1/2 the money & also constracted w/me to do a bathroom. He hires people rather than do the work himself. There were & are still problems w/the bathroom job, but as that was being done he said he didn't have enough money to finish the jobs & asked me to pay him the remaining money. Well STUPID me, I did!! Now I have an unfinished bathroom & no windows. He met w/the death of his wife & I have tried to wait for him to come through. This all began in late July/Aug. & now it's April & he never mentions finishing the bathroom, & goes for weeks w/out any mention of the window installation. I don't know what I can do if anything. I would appreciate any suggestions.

OK, I support the war in Iraq. Whenever I say this, most Liberals give the phrase-of-the-week "Well, if you support the war so much, why don't YOU go fight in Iraq???"

OK, I can live with that. I don't agree with it, but if the Liberals want us to live what we preach, I can understand it.

So how come, whenever I mention the fact that Al Gore, Mr. Environmentalist himself, uses 10 times more electricity than the typical American household:
