I have decided that there is simply some mental illness that most democrats have. Everything they see, think and do is *** backwards!!

Anyone who considers legitimate criticisms of the Bush administration as "cheap shots" is either incredibly misinformed or afflicted with such an advanced form of intellectual dishonesty that it may be terminal!
The inaccuracies of your question can't even begin to be addressed in the limited space available here but let's just start with this: The 90s were a period of the greatest economic expansion in American history. It took Bush over four years to get to the point where the economy added more jobs than it lost. GWB was the only American president since Hoover to have fewer Americans working at the end of his first term than there were working at the beginning.
Stop watching FOX. Only time and better information will cure what you have.

Strange, every time there is a question resembling this one there is never any listings of the all the great work that George Bush has accomplished. "Especially since he responded to 9/11 and all?" Sorry for laughing but any President would have responded to 9/11, not just George Bush, and I'm still trying to figure out what you mean by "and all." Have you missed the record deficits that our children and grandchildren and their children will be paying for until they kick the bucket? Have you missed the four years of war that has led to nothing positive and nothing but continued chaos in Baghdad and the Middle East in general? How did Bush do with Katrina? I know, I don't blame you for not wanting to go there, understood. Let's try the alienation of even our Allies around the world? That doesn't work for you? Hmm... How about the fact that not one reason for going to war in Iraq turned out to be true? Oops, that's a little problematic too isn't it? And oh, there's the great immigration plan that has worked out so well for everyone and our borders and ports are so much safer than they were before 9/11. Oops, again, I'm jumping ahead, Bush hasn't gotten to those yet. Imagine that.
Sorry, still looking for all those good works and coming up empty, can someone please help with this, I must be missing something really obvious...even if it's minuscule.
EDIT: Wow, this must be embarrassing for you. All these answers and no one has come forth to support you with a list of Bush's "accomplishments." In fact, take notice of all the thumbs down your answerers received. They came in to read and add their thumbs down but they didn't actually answer your question with any backup for you did they? Know why? There isn't anything to list.
EDIT: Awww, Mike C. came in to bat for you. Trouble is, he isn't listing anything worth noting unless you note the failures that followed the bringing down of Hussein and the relegating of Afghanistan to second status to attack a country that wasn't an imminent threat. And there's that pesky deficit again rearing its ugly head. Nice try though, Mike C.

He has done no "great work". He has surrounded himself with yes men, and idealogues who have failed to assess the possible negative consequences of any potential action.
Current developments regarding the firing of the 8 U.S. Attorneys, and the actions concerning Valerie Plume and the leaks of information to the press, indicate that the protection and welfare of the citizenry take 2nd fiddle to the preservation of power in the president and the republican party.
You obviously had no investments during Clinton's presidency or in Bush's until 2003, or you wouldn't make such ludicrous assertions. Did you just forget about the surplus Clinton left and was consumed by the Bush black hole requests for spending? Ask real estate brokers how the economy is today. For the first time in 40 years the average price of a home decreased this year.
You can delude yourself if you wish, but please don't try to get otthers to join in your delusion. Bush is a president who reacts, who has no plan, and who can't even pronounce the hackneyed platitudes he tries to express.

If my memory serves me correct, it took several minutes for Governor Bush to respond at all, remember the classroom, where the children were teaching him how to read? That night he came on television with that stupid grin on his face, watch the tape, talking about civilian deaths, and you look up to this moron? That is not merely name calling, he is a moron, as he has proven time and time again. Scared people will cling to any voice in power, and unfortunately it happened to be his.
As far as the economy goes, it will be a democrat that will be sacrificed once more. The Reagan/Bush years sank our country four trillion dollars in debt, which is convenient for the republicans to forget. Clinton balanced the budget and headed us in the right direction, sometimes what needs to be done can not always be the easiest thing to do. Doing the right thing is not always popular. This Bush has us so far in debt it is sickening to think about, and now next year a democrat will once again be left a mess to clean up, with sacrififces that need to be made to get back on track. It is not a good time to be in charge, but it can be historical for the right person.
Overall, Bush is a joke, and if you can not look at it objectively, please leave decisions to those who can.

Bush took Clinton's surplus and gave us a record deficit. He also started a war that was based on a lie that doesn't have an end in sight. He also has exacerbated the global terrorist threat, because the war has become a cause celebre among Muslim fundamentalists, and a whole new generation of terrorists is being bred. And to top it off, he failed to capture the main culprit responsible for the 9/11 attacks (Osama bin Laden). Yeah, he's accomplished a lot, all right.

What you have is "faith", in different words you're prepared to settle for in spite of Bush did as a conservative because of the fact the properly suited component, and if he made a mistake then it would properly be congress's fault. good good fortune with that. no one, easily no president is right. They and all of us make blunders and Bush made some doozies.

Just provide a list of his great accomplishments.
What did Bush, himself, do to improve the economy? And by improve the economy, do you mean make Halliburton rich and drive gas prices through the roof?
Did you know that during the Clinton administration, the federal government had a budget surplus, but as soon as Bush took office, it drdopped back to a huge deficit?

Are you serious....During Clinton unemployment was over a point lower than it is now....we had the biggest government surplus than we have had since before Reagan, and you speak about 9/11 like alot of good was done then...alot could have been done to stop it....Conservatives want to blame Clinton somehow for that...but remember Bush was in office for almost 2 years when it happened.
Essentially other than being attacked nothing significant happened during his administration that changed the US.

This is a joke right? So he is accomplished because he responded to 9/11 (Isn't that his job)? Is that all you could come up with? Because in my book, that's not really enough to make him an accomplished president.
Facilitating a war on lies does not make him an accomplished president either. Taking more vacations than any sitting president does not make him accomplished either. What else do you have? I'm pretty sure there is an edit to follow on your question. Because I can't believe that it's all it takes in your book to make an accomplished president.
