I cite you the auto industry, gas prices, housing market, etc. You can make anything look GREAT on paper, but it is the perception that is the reality for others. The perception is that the economy sucks. So the economy is seen as being bad.

Obviously, Republicans are going to defend their guy, and the Democrats are going to defend theirs. Bush sucks, and that is that. I would go through Clinton and all his lies again rather than deal with a self-serving, war monger like Bush. That is my perception, which becomes my reality.
