Dissent is one thing; outright disdain for the USA's founding principles is quite another. I don't know what kind of disagreements you have with the government (I have plenty, especially these days!), but here's my view on where to draw the line.
The USA was the first country in the history of the world to be founded on philosophical principles. (Freedom of expression is one of those principles.) Unlike the citizens of most countries, those who live in the USA are here by choice. Those who disagree with the founding principles of this country are free to find a country with founding principles that are more suited to their taste. There are no guns pointing inward at any US border. This is a luxury not afforded to citizens of most countries.
So if you are an avowed communist, no one in the USA is stopping you from going to a communist country and living in your own version of paradise. If you believe in Sharia law, there are countries you can run to that are founded on those principles. If you believe that personal freedoms should be restricted at the whim of an unelected government, there are plenty of countries that fit that mold. Indeed, the pursuit of happiness is considered a god-given right here; no one in the USA will stop you from pursuing your happiness, whether it's here or in another country.
Personally, I believe in the founding principles of this country: meritocracy, personal freedom, individual rights, property rights, pursuit of happiness and prosperity, rule of law, the Constitution, etc. But if the USA were to abandon completely all those principles (especially freedom of expression), I would not hesitate to try to find another place that respects these values. So if someone tells me they disagree with the founding principles of this country, then I can't imagine why, with all the freedoms they are afforded here, they do not use that freedom to find a place more in tune with their own philosophy.
I would never tell them to leave...just wonder out loud why they would want to stay.

If people are telling you that by questioning this administration's policies you are not entitled to live in this country, they are not only wrong, but more unpatriotic than yourself. Stand for what you believe in, for people such as yourself who do express their opinions honestly are what this country needs more of.
Theodore Roosevelt:
To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. (1918)
Sinclair Lewis:
When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross.
William O. Douglas:
Restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions. It is the one un-American act that could most easily defeat us.
Ralph Waldo Emerson:
When a whole nation is roaring Patriotism at the top of its voice, I am fain to explore the cleanness of its hands and the purity of its heart.
Norman Thomas:
If you want a symbolic gesture, don't burn the flag; wash it.
Margaret Chase Smith:
Moral cowardice that keeps us from speaking our minds is as dangerous to this country as irresponsible talk. The right way is not always the popular and easy way. Standing for right when it is unpopular is a true test of moral character.

Sometimes an empire grows so foul with corruption that, if anyone is to survive, they must leave...much the same way the people often jump from a burning building. The US doesn't really believe in speading democracy and freedom to all peoples around the world. It just wants to spread its economic and political domination.

The First Amendment gives you the right to vocally disagree with the government. Unfortunately, a lot of people seem to forget this. Just ignore them, stay true to yourself and your values, and vote!

Not according to these political partisans. They define an "American" as someone whose beliefs are in lock step with the President's. When you point out that such an attitude is fascist, (which it is by definition), they will say, no, YOU are a Nazi.

That is part of the redneck mentality of Americans. When they dont like what you say they just want you to disappear and go away. They do the same thing with black people who are also long time Americans. Whenever a black person says something white people dont like the first reaction is well go back to Africa. White people tell me to go back to Tibet all the time because I am constantly revealing the flaws of white dominated governments.

you have every right to be here if you are a LEGAL citizen!
where would America be if there were nobody disagreeing?? it would be a tyranny! healthy disagreement encourages critical thinking and political progress...it's the childish, disrespectful pot-shots at our political leaders that make me sick!

you do have a right to express your opinion but some people really hate living here. they want the whole country to make a 180degree change.
I typically inform those people that it might be best to look for a country that better suits their needs
