Some of us do realize we are becoming very resented around the World, and it hurts. For the most part Americans are very secluded from the World. We are really kept in a bubble, surrounded by propaganda. Our mass media has been taken over by huge Corporations who sell us things. Our Politicians are also influenced by the Corporate World Government. We don't trust our Government,so allot of us don't vote.
I will tell you,so many of us have goodness in us,if more faces and stories were given to us to view just what our policy's are doing to the rest of the World, their would be a turnaround in our perceptions. We do need more education, not propaganda and lies.We are groomed like cattle to be consumers, all the people we see as successful are very rich,so Americans see money, and the pursuit of it can overcome us.
We are, and should be our Government. We have freedom but feel powerless to persuade our Government leaders to do anything at all.The World doesn't see many riots or protests in America, because their aren't that many. The law is so severe here, and the prisons are overflowing with over two million people.
Our only hope to make this World a better place is to keep talking to one another. We must share this Earth with respect for all humanity and nature alike.

Hi there, I am not an American, I am English.
Maybe not my place to pass judgement on the USA but what I say is this.
You can think what you like of George Bush, if your an American that is your right.
However, let me ask you one question, without a leader like George Bush, lets say you had a leader who did not get involved in world politics and had a more moderate view to international attrocities and terrorst acts.
What kind of world do you think we would now be living in?
Just as Saddam quelled internal strife within Iraq, it is clear to see that George Bushes stance is keeping a lid on most of the would be upstarts worldwide.
Yes we have problems internationally with countries such as Iran and Afghanistan, but we would have this trouble no matter who was president of the only remaining super power in the world.
So knock George Bush if it makes you feel better but dont assume everything he does is a waste of time.
Many people around the world sleep a little more safely because terrorist organisations know that if they mess about on George Bushes watch, they're gonna get their butts kicked.

Americans are hated around the world?
This is not true. I realize that every time you read web blogs and BS on Yahoo Answers they are invariably anti-American.
Yet, these people truly are a MINORITY. Although they are a VERY VOCAL minority.
Virtually every country on earth is touched by America and Americans in some way shape or form. The good we are responsible for in the world far exceeds our sins. America remains the world greatest civilization and will most certainly continue to retain that title.
Don't buy into the "everyone hates you" crap! This guy is just and only that, "1 guy"... He represents a minority of people who hate America for our success - and our admitted arrogance - in lue of his country's failures.
"America is indeed a great gift to the world." Dzouza "Whats so great about America" ( A very good read )

Excuse me for being American. In all actuality, I think your blowing our status in the world all out of proportion. If America and our government are as horrible as you claim, then why are part of the United Nations? Why do we have so many allies willing to come to our aide in any disaster?
We are one of the few countries who allows the people to choose who governs us. That means if we put some deceitful and arrogant person into office, we have only ourselves to blame
If you know anything about American histroy, you would know that we've had only two Presidents to begin impeachment proceedings and only one to go through with the entire court case. Nixon's Watergate Scandal was what caused his step down out of office, but the man did a great deal for our country. And so did Clinton, who began impeachment proceedings because he cheated on his wife while in office.
If you want TV and see American movies and think you know everything there is to know about America, then you must be very mistaken. Our blondes are not dumb as doornails, all men do not beat their women, not every man has a pedofile desire. And we're are not the only country that has is problematic people. We are not the only country to have crime, murder, and other problems.
But we are a country that is proud of the way we are governed. We are proud that our government allows so many freedoms. The Iraqi women aren't allowed to wear the clothes they want to wear. I am truly lucky to have been born in American. The country where, as a young woman, I can choose what college I want to continue my education at. The country that allows me to choose a profession that I can make into a career. The country that allows me to choose my husband and how many children that I want to have. A country in which I am free to say whatever I want about our government to whomever will listen without the fear of being thrown into jail or killed. A country in which my freedoms are clearly stated in the first amendment of our Constitution, the document that was first written by men who wanted a country that would have all the freedoms that there were not priveledged to. A country in which I am FREE to be the person that I want to be.
So before you type up these ridiculous question about my country, maybe you should do your research and find out more about my country and my government and maybe stop watching the movies that stereotype Americans and allow people like you to think that there is some truth behind them. Stop watching the television and think you know everything there is to know about one person and one country. Do your research before you make the attempt to anger millions of people!!!!

Bush is not America. I visited a few ports on the eastern seaboard of the States and I found the people friendly and helpful. And the more inland I ventured, the more friendly they were - even the police were helpful.
Every barrel has it`s bad apples just like the UK and Europe, Far and Middle East etc, etc.....but that does not mean that the rest of the people in that particular country are bad.
My favourite places to visit were the Big Apple (Times Square, the crossroads of the world) & Key West.
Even here in the UK we have people who don`t give a sh1t about their life or anyone else`s. But we are not all like that, some of us are open minded, law abiding people who like a drink, like a smoke, like to have a good time.
P.S. I gave up hangovers, didn`t like them lmfao :-)

USA's simple people is not our enemy my friend. Their government certainly is a threat to us but not more than it is for American people to. Recently a European politician said that in USA people live so to work thank God in Europe people still work so to live. The cruel capitalism that is forced in the American society has this purpose to make people care only about how much money they are going to make because otherwise they have no choice. If they fail in that they are expelled from the society. They do not have the courage to see what is happening around them and the world. They are like maschines. I am sorry Americans but they have abused your American Dream.

Must be at loss with an old saying "The elders were rude! children behave self lack of knowledge " on planet earth.

You can hate the government, I do too! But American's have done alot of good around the world. Americans are the most charitable of all nations, and if it weren't for us you'd still be ruled by Germany.

I could care less what you or any other country thinks of the US.
"We forget about everything else" yet every country comes to us for a handout or our assistance.
Talk about arrogant, intolerance, lies and common thuggery, your "question" indicates you are all those things.
