I personally consider myself an independant conservative. I do not particularly agree with many of the things that the Republican party does, agree though as I do with their values. I also am equally surprised at the number of mindless drones who are fanatically bound to either the far right or the far left. I have my opinion on why this is but I was wondering what other people think.

This is a serious question. It might benefit public safety. If prisons overcrowd, and we have to let some prisoners out, or if sexual predators get paroled, do you think that chastity belts would make sense, for public safety?

I happened to see on wikipedia that they actually make male ones. They're not supposed to be physically harmful, but they restrict the private area to physically stop "arousal". Any act that would cause sexual arousal would be met with an unpleasent obstruction. (I'd post a link, but it would probably get taken down. Look it up.) There could be periodic visits to a place for temporary removal, for "gratification."

But if a man is convicted of rape or child molestation, and he must be let out, wouldn't it make women and children safer? If he can't get aroused, he can't commit sexual offenses, it'd be an added deterent against sexual violence.

Earmark monitor's exit baffles, troubles GOP
By Sean Lengell
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
March 29, 2007

The federal agency that tracked pork-barrel spending during the 12 years of the Republican congressional majority has discontinued the practice since Democrats took power, riling lawmakers suspicious of the timing and concerned about the pace of fat being added to bills.
"To me, something doesn't smell right," said Sen. Jim DeMint, South Carolina Republican. "I just hope no one is pressuring" the Congressional Research Service (CRS).
While not blaming the Democratic leadership, Mr. DeMint added: "I guess if you're looking for a motive, you'd have to look in that direction."
CRS, a nonpartisan agency of the Library of Congress created to conduct research for members of Congress on legislative issues, changed its policy in February -- a month after Democrats took control of the Congress and vowed to curb the number of special-interest projects inserted into spending bills or even reports that don't require a vote

I was passing a car in a 55 mph zone in the left hand lane. The highway is 3 lanes wide. There were approx. 20 cars around me. The officer said they had me going 84 mph. She asked me how fast I thought I was going I said 90. In New York State, I wasn't aware that they were going to log into my ticket what I said. I wasn't read my miranda rights either. I realize that radar can be very inaccurate when there are multiple cars. How can I argue that I wasn't speeding when this goes to court?

Did you know how much work it was to run them down, scalp them and kill most of them. It took lots of money, men and time. These lands were not taken but earned fairly. Now those Mexicans come here and do nothing like that and they think they deserve to be here and get this, and have a job. What will they want next?????

If our Legislative Branch passes legislation and sends it to the President for his signature and he signs it into law, why can't the President be held responsible for ensuring that that legislation is carried out to "the letter of the law?"

I realize that the Judicial branch of government is responsible for the enforcement of legislation signed by the President, but isn't the President and the Executive branch also responsible to "the people" to whom they have sworn an oath tho protect and defend the laws and Constitution.

Case in point, we have laws regulating legal entry into the United States, yet our Congress, Legislative and Executive branches of the government are failing miserable when it comes to protecting our borders. This appies not only to the mere illegal crossing of our borders, but the smuggling of illegal drugs and humans to be used in some forms of forced slavery or allowing them to be hired by unscrupulous corporations who exploits them by paying mininal wages.

I was approached the other day by a man who had a "I support the troops" bumper sticker. He also had a christian symbol (the fish) on his car. Another sticker said "Osama DEAD OR DEAD" on it. Now dont get me wrong I am all for finding Osama. But he had the nerve to preach to me because I am gay. One of the most important commandments is THOU SHALL NOT KILL. Yet its okay for someone to support the war but its VERY wrong for me to be gay. I am almost 100 percent positive I am sure GOD would much rather have someone come to heaven who is gay over someone who has killed innocent people. I just dont get why I am one of the few people who sees this issue.

many think that Marx was an advocate of socialism/communism when is reality he was a social theorist like Weber or Locke. Marx saw socialism as the natural consequence of the maturation of modernism. It was Lenin and Trotsky who created 'scientific Marxism' which we now refer to as Marxism (read communism). Social evolution will see systems of belief rise and fall and perhaps as we approach a mature modernist state we will see is Marx was right in his belief that humanity will achieve true equality though the freeing of humanity via technology. What do you think will be the result of social evolution? Equality?

Why is the Secret Service so lame? Chasing Money forgers lame:) Obviously looking after the interests of major CD and DVD makers. Typical.

What about the the CIA you may ask. Do any of their experts even know what onion routing is, let alone what a proxy server is?

I used an FBI webserver to host online games and did not even use a proxy, as the box I used is infected so they delete the spyware on my box for me for free. If US citizens are so worried about such dim government agents, I have got nothing to fear.

Maybe I will send the FBI a photo of myself sitting on 40 kilos of weed. Makes not difference.

What about the POWs after WW2 - did America decide to bomb Indo-China into submission? Why is it still fashionable to defend Israel for unpardonable crimes that defy not only UN laws, Amnesty goals, but the basic respect of life itself?

Sorry. I mean, Israel has a right to defend itself. I mean, the life of an Israeli means much more than an Arab - after all, God says so.
