Do Americans have Schools? From a guy in England(who is obsessed with the states) you know you are,you know who I'm talking to.
What's the deal? Why is everybody so uptight over what the U.S. is doing compared to their own country?

My boyfriend criticized Bush's policy 2 days ago. Not only his yahoo Q & A account was suspended, but his whole yahoo account email address with his mail & all of his files.
Is this America of today ? It reminds me much like the Soviet Union & worse !
What next? Lock him up or send him to hard labor in the Alaska's wilderness ? Like what communist used to do & send people to Siberia.
Probabily this is my last Q too before the same happens to my account !!!

They were in charge by a huge majority and never changed anything they stood for like Abortion and Gay marriages. So why is it the Democrats fault that they continually fail? The American public made it clear (outside of the continual propaganda) that we are sick of them. If the rest of the corrupt Republican Senators were up for reelection in 06's election they wouldn't be there now. Why does Bush think he is still being backed when there isn't anyone there? Don't you like it when Pelosi had to remind George Bush that they aren't in charge anymore in Congress? Feel free to add any more to this situation, thanks.

I would like to import from other countries and not let others know.

Such as changing the label.
French wine would be called "Freedom wine."
They would drink it, thinking it somehow is a good cause.

That business is intriguing, though I doubt I would do it.

When I say “our”, I mean Human History.

Why is political correctness and fear of hurting people’s feelings more important than explaining how we became who and what we are?

Why is there a drive to eliminate facts that make people uncomfortable instead of making people understand what happened, how it happened and what needed to be done to change or stop it?

The Brits for example: They are "negotiating" with Iran despite the fact that Iran has kidnapped its sailors. This is getting them nowhere fast. Another 30 or 40 U.N. resolutions will do nothing, also.

Instead of putting the cart before the horse, how about the Brits bomb Iran into submission, THEN begin "negotitations"?

As I was leaving the mall, I realised I was low on ciggerettes. I drove to the lot near CVS but all the spots were taken. I stupidly parked in a handicap spot, thinking I would only be a minute. As I came back to my car I noticed the Mall security guy leaving from where my car was parked. Sure enough there was a pink little paper under my windshield wiper. After reading the paper over many times I remember it clearly stated that " My car was observeved parking in a handicap spot." the time and date were also on there as well as my licence plate number and brief vehicle description. The note did not have the word "ticket" anywhere on it, nor did it have anything written about me owing them any money or having to pay a fee, or ANY follow up instructions at all. I no longer am able to find the note. So now my friend tells me that cops will just pull me over if they happen to check my licence for unpaid parking tickets. Is this a ticket or a warning? Do I owe any money? How do I find out?

Hillary Clinton is currently the most qualified person in the United States to serve as president. It will be a great day for the US when she is elected.

Believe me, it will be a landslide. She will bury her competition. Many conservatives won't admit it it, but most of them admire Hillary Clinton.

Candidates focus only on a handful of contested states and ignore the concerns of tens of millions of Americans living in other states.

A candidate can lose in 39 states, but still win the Presidency.

A candidate can lose the popular vote by more than 10 million votes, but still win the Presidency.

A candidate can win 20 million votes in the general election, but win zero electoral votes, as happened to Ross Perot in 1992.

In most states, the candidate who wins a state’s election, wins all of that state’s electoral votes, no matter the winning margin, which can disenfranchise those who supported the losing candidate.

A candidate can win a state’s vote, but an elector can refuse to represent the will of a majority of the voters in that state by voting arbitrarily for the losing candidate (this has reportedly happened 9 times since 1820).

Smaller states have a disproportionate advantage over larger states because of the two “constant” or “senatorial” electors assigned to each state.

A tie in the Electoral College is decided by a single vote from each state’s delegation in the House of Representatives, which would unfairly grant California’s 36 million residents equal status with Wyoming’s 500,000 residents.

In case of such a tie, House members are not bound to support the candidate who won their state’s election, which has the potential to further distort the will of the majority.
