Really? How long has it been? Iran had our hostages for 444 days before Reagan "went in and got them."

Regardless of where they were, Iran committed an act of aggression to capture them. I support whatever the UK does to get them home safely, but agree with Dylan that this is what Iran wants (aggression from the UK and US).

They know perfectly well they where in Iranian waters. They sent them in 6 times to provoke being captured. This is what the UK and America wants after all. To make a big issue out of it and say " see look Iran? What can we do here now. Iraq didn't work, need to focus the public attention somewhere else" Its exactly what the UK government wanted to happen that's why they where sent to Iranian waters.
They are being treated well. They are smiling and laughing, smoking and joking, eating and being treated well. All Iran asked for was an apology from the UK i don't think that's too much to ask. Where they stripped naked? where they made to wear dog collars? where they made to simulate sex acts? where they starved? where they photographed in every conceivable derogatory manner possible? wait that was US soldiers to innocent Iraq civilians. But the USA is so diplomatic and follow rules don't they? That's all Iran is doing following government procedure for what has occurred. The families of those soldiers say they are all happy to see them and they are looking very well not distressed at all. Quick UK get the spin doctors ready, oh wait you did that already too.

Are you all saying that the britsh navy cannot read a map? I am a british citizen and i think it is all BS. Other governments are aloud into Iranian waters but need permission from the Iran government first. Are you seriously say that the navy dont know sea protocal? Are they just floating aimlessly at sea? There is a certain path in the water that anyone is free to pass through (civilian that is) Military need permission be in this strip of water and they did not seek it. Come on! Talk about nieve media sheep. Can you all say BAA BAA!

I'm not certain whose waters they were in, but I would support any and all means necessary to recover these troops. International border crossings happen often. The Swiss army even had an embarrassing event less than a month ago. Fact is, since these crossings do happen there is no reason for Iran to hold these troops, and to demand that America release prisoners in exchange for British troops only shows the real intent of this entire staged event.

It's pretty obvious (unless you are an Iranian religious fanatic) that the sailors and marines were in Iraqi waters. Going in and getting them by force is exactly what Iran wants. This whole situation is because Iran wants either wants an excuse to kill more people, or that they want to show their strength to the West in hopes of loosening the sanctions on them, which I believe and hope will not work. If Britain charged in and rescued them it would kind of make Iran then look the victim, since Britain has been so adamant that the sailors were not in Iranian waters.

The rights for this water have been contested for decades and as a result there is no official border there.
If you look at the map all 3 points are closer to iran than iraq

Answer: That scenario is impossible...
Unless you know exactly where they are being held...
Geographical fact! Iran is bigger than in looks in your grammar school geography book.
But mostly, that is exactly what the world enemy terrorist Iran wants! And one should never give those murdering evil terrorists what they want...Short of a trip to visit their 72 virgins that is!
Using your plan...The first 15 causalities would be those kidnapped Brits.

What makes u think they can just go in and get them out ? It is this kind of foolish confidence that has landed the USA in this Iraqi quagmire.
