I understand that in ancient times the rich taxed the poor to death, but this is a new age and retribution is not the path to progression, prosperity, civilization, or enlightenment.

I hear so many people speak of a progressive tax on the income of the rich and I wonder what makes them think that the rich are so much less than the rest of the masses. Is there more going on here than just envy? Is the purpose of a tax to equalize the economic status of the people: to punish success and reward failure? If the rich are taxed to death, we benefit less from their talents.

Is the purpose of a tax to support government by tapping a portion of the people's activities in equality? After all, if the people desire an equal say in government, and equal benefits from government, then they should contribute equally; at least, equal in an economically proportional way, but theoretically, equal in the absolute sense of the word (for votes are not weighted by wealth, income, or spending).

a freekin dingy float up air boat ,"But why? The Iraqis did say they have done it many times before and let it go (And you know what?I believe them on that call)and they have all the devices to prove it.."Why the hell did the British government send a bunch of blind pack army rats and entrust them on the sea,(What the F55543k ????This is dumb the whole thing(Duh easily to be one high wave on anything ,then tossed off course)? Many people left the Bush Administratration who said at the time they were leaving to pursue other interests including Colin Powell.Slowly it is coming out this was not the case with many.If Colin Powell were to run,now bear in mind he is a very smart person,would you vote for him as President or would you not just because he is associated with the Bush administration?Or would your reason be just because he's a Republican?

If police pull over a car they suspect of having drugs, they ask the occupant oif they will allow a search. If the person refuses, the cops get a warrant or a dog. So there is no consent to the search at all. It's not really any option.
Furthermore, why doesn't this violate right to privacy? Personally, if I was in that situation I might make you go get a warrant and waste your time when you find nothing just to make my point. It feels like we're turning into a police state where the cops have the rights but we don't. I believe in this thing called the Constitution our founding fathers wrote a while back; seems vaguely important. And i'm not willing to give up one of those rights to make your life easier. There's a reason it's called work.

Let's face it folks, the media is doing everything that it can to undermine the war on terror. They will print everything that they can get their grubby little hands on so long as it hurts public opinion and decreases troop morale.

In this time of war should newspapers, TV stations, and other media get a "seal of approval" for the news it reports? Should the freedom of the press be suspended for the safety of all Americans?

My friend got a speeding ticket and he going to fight it. So he was to know if the officer is goign to work on the day the court is going to be. The speed limit was covered by a brach from a very large tree, so he wasn't able to see it.

It is difficult to believe the war would be helpful or effective for this sort of case as it proved that Isreil could not release its two soldiers captured by Hezbulla prior to the war started last year in Labenan or even after war up to now. war with Iran would be worse than that happend between Hezbulla and Isreil.
