How come when I answer any government/elections category question: I have to see paid for by Hillary ad next to the questions. I thought Yahoo claims to not be affiliated or promoting any candidate speel. So how come yahoo Answers is Promoting Hillary by allowing her this ad and it's position on the page. I guess yahoo lies just like hillary.....

John McCain's assertion on Bill Bennett's "Morning in America" show that "there are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through those neighborhoods today."

Karen Tumulty, a Time journalist asked Brian Bennett, the TIME correspondent who is in Baghdad at the moment, how it looks on that end. Here's his reply:

I just spoke with XXXXXX, our Iraqi bureau manager, about where in Baghdad I could go for a walk. He said there was one neighborhood (I'm not telling -- why make it a target?). He said I could get out of the car with him and a couple of our Iraqi bodyguards and walk for about three blocks - -then we'd have to get back in the car before the cell phone calls to kidnappers caught up with us.

In other words, McCain is right. It's safe for a stroll -- if you take two bodyguards and wear your running shoes.

Typical.

Why is it that when the push was on to go into Iraq everyone said it was to liberate the good people from an evil dictator (apart from the WMD lie) but with Iran people just want to nuke the entire country and see all Iranians as evil?

I would like policemen and women to answer this one........

It is really irritating, they get locked up, they kick them to the
kerb, they do the same things over and over again, knowing
full well that they will be caught and that they are pushing their
luck....................

I smell some lies here, the brit ship is the flagship of the area decked out with all the latest equipment and radars..and they now give us PINPOINT location as to where they were. Yet at the time had NO idea 5 iranian boats where closing in on there location, with a possible attack...haha how odd...why on earth would this happen? wouldnt be anything to do with the world wide objection to the war would it? another stunt to back their ''claims'' that everyone in the middle east is out to get us lol Oh no...it couldnt be....

The UK and US essentially run a two party system (OK the UK has the Liberal and Green Party but they don't represent a significant share of the vote) - in essence these epublicans and Democrats/Labour and Conservatives both represent big business but merely have a slightly different approach to taxation and public spending. Clinton for example enacted several Bills towards the end of his term not because he felt that they were right but because he wanted the incoming Republican President to look bad by striking these Bills. Essentially it seems that Britain and the US give the illusion of democracy when really they are closer to dictatorships. Sure you may change the face of the dictator but essentially the principles remain.

I ask questions here and inevitably as sizable % of the posted answers are idiotic rantings of GOP Neocon rite-wingnuts.

Why do you GOP neocon mindless idiot fools waste your time answering questions with stupid juvenile senseless attempts to insult thoughtful questioners?
Don't you have something better to do?
Is your life really that meaningless and lacking in substance and purpose?
I find you pathetic and stupid.
In the future please regard none of my questions as addressed to you.
Thanks!

What does iran gain by kidnapping these british marines .
The whole world knows that anything said or written in those circumstances is done under duress .
Do the iranian people themselves really believe what they are told .
I cant believe they are so gullible or stupid to believe that prisoners will speak freely or will be allowed to do so .
So , what do they gain , are they such a spiteful petty people that they behave like a bully .
Is it any wonder that the western world views with horror the thought of a people like the iranians developing a nuclear weapon .The iraqis did the same thing under Sadam .
Is it a trait of the arab people , are they all just spiteful bullies .
Can the European peoples ever live in piece with such strange nations .

Seriously, since I became a member to this site lots of you seem to believe that you have no faults what so ever. Now is a good time to prove yourselves. Now that it is being asked. And don't over look the question as if it does not apply when otherwise you would have already been on the attack position if the question referred to someone else. Lets see if there are such fortunates to have been borned faultless. "Watchdog Alert You'all unfortunates" So that the nonsense disappears in all categories except in the humor dept.
