My landlord wants us to move, so he said he won't accept anymore rent payments and we're supposed to vacate in 14 days. He even went so far as to tell my b/f that he he didn't sign the 14 day notice that he'd call the cops. My b/f didn't know any better so he did. I take this to be a threat and I'd think that you can't threaten someone into signing a legal document. I looked it up online and found a website that I interpreted to say that a landlord has to accept a rent payment when a year lease is signed. Also, they'd have to give us a "5 day to pay rent or vacate notice" before a 14 day notice. But my landlord wouldn't want to do this obviously because that would mean he'd be asking for a rent payment and he doesn't want that. I believe that our landlord just doesn't want to go through the court costs of an eviction because he knows he wouldn't win. So they're trying to bully us out without having to pay anthing. Yes, I have a landlord from hell.

San Francisco has banned plastic bags for environmental reasons. Why did they allow them in the first place? Do you think going "Green" is the new political mantra of the decade?

Before you start spouting off about tin foil hats and Elvis- I want you to know I am not a conspiracy theorist, I just think there are some holes in the official explanation of 9/11. Please read the links before you make your comment.

When a Democratic Congress attempts to rein in the mismanagement, excesses, and lack of cohesive policy the Bush administration has demonstrated in the war in Iraq I see a familar refrain running through the cons dialogue, (must have been on Rush's show or something) and it goes something like "politicians are trying to micromanage the war and tie the Generals hands." Well I have to ask hasn't this been happening to tragic effect already, some reminders:
General Shinseki estimates several hundred thousand troops need, advice unheeded
Gen. Anthony Zinni called for Rumsfeld's resignation.
Army Maj. Gen.Paul Eaton lambasted Rumsfeld as "incompetent strategically, operationally and tactically,"
Army Maj. Gen. Charles H. Swannack Jr., the commander of the 82nd Airborne Division believes the United States is losing, he said, "I think strategically, we are." The framers were politicians, Wolfowitz, Perle, Rumsfield, Cheney, Fukuyama, Feith, Hadley, Abrams, Wurmser, and of course BUSH!

If anybody knows of this answer it would be a great help. I am interested in who were young governors of the U.S. I mean state governors, and not territorial governors. If they go far back then it would be great to know this. It would be nice to know who were some of the young ones far back.

I think the problem with these Iranians and Arabs in general is that they take their religous laws a little too seriously and allow the enemy to exploit them. The woman should actually be treated worse than the male counterparts as part of a psychological warfare tactic.

My boyfriend is planing on leaving for Iraq in December. He hasnt signed any papers yet because he hasnt turned 18 yet but his recruiter is already making him do all kinds of standard things like take a drug test and go up for a physical 4 hours away from home and hes only 17! ive tried everything and i cant change his mind. we used to have plans for him to go to a culinary school right next to the college i am going to attend so we could be together but now hes leaving me.The only interest he has is cooking so the minimum amount of years to sign up for in cooking is 4. how am i supposed to deal with him not being around for 4 years......

we have been together for the last 3 years and its not like a dumb high school relationship. i have already gotten pregnant once and had a miscarriage and he has lived with me since he was 15 years old because him step dad was abusive.i dont know how to deal with not having someone to hold everynight and someone to make me feel better when im sad.

Is this controversial statewide anti-gang task force(operated in joint venture w/ the Maricopa Sheriff's Office) still around harassing the state's teen population?

I remember watching their efforts on TV a few years ago, and boy, the agents(AZ/DPS/HP troopers) thought they were immune from ANYTHING, even interference from other sheriffs!!!...

No disrespect to Sheriff-for-Life Joe Arpaio, but I think that the GITEM boys are like Rambo...

BTW, what does "GITEM" mean?...

Thanks

1. Bush lied? These people must have lied too, eh?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePb6H-j51xE )

2. Are our soldiers are dying at an unacceptably alarming rate?
In 4 years of war, about 3200 out of about 130,000 have been killed. The annual death rate is 6.15 per 1000 soldiers.

The death rate for the civilian population in the United States in 2005 was 8.25 per 1000 people.
http://education.yahoo.com/reference/factbook/us/popula.html )

So a US soldier has a better chance of survival in Iraq than a randomly selected US citizen "safe" at home in the United States. Granted most soldiers are young and healthy, but this gives some perspective.
