What does that have to do with running for office? People are diagnosed with cancer and other diseases every day, it unfortunately just happens. If you or someone you love is diagnosed with a terminal illness would you think it strange? Thank God for your blessings and pray for the Edwards.

I am no fan of Edwards but to attach any connection between his political career and his wife's health is cruel, disgusting and judgmental. Shame, Shame.

No, that's not strange. What's strange is John Edwards running when his wife gets cancer.

Yeah, it's one big Democrat conspiracy! She was going to get cancer a couple of years before he started running for office, but she decided to put it off until he ran the first time and it helped him so much, they decided to have it metastasize to the bone this time. I think Tony Snow decided to make his cancer metastasize just to get even. Does it sound really stupid now? I'm no fan of his or the Dems, but really....I don't wish such a thing on anyone! C'mon!

Actually, stress increases the likelihood of recurrence with cancer, and it's a theory that stress leads to increased metastasizing. That is assuming the cancer she had before is is malignant, but I'm not sure on that.

**This is NOT a political statement, but science. I wish Mrs. Edwards a speedy recovery and God's blessings, and I wish Tony Snow the same thing.

This is an awful thing to say. Her getting cancer has nothing to do with his running for President. If you have lost someone to cancer then perhaps you can talk, otherwise keep quiet.

The reason, very possibly, is because of the increase stress and activity involved with campaigning. The candidate, his wife and supporters have an almost impossible schedule to gather financial support and to obtain voters and people to help with the campaign.

because she got sick. Cancer happens

Also its not funny to make fun of someone that has cancer. This is not a laughing matter and it seems you dont have respect for the terminally ill

Have you been listening to Ann Coulter? What you infer is absolutely mean spirited and unacceptable. Do you think she planned to have cancer at this time? If so you are really sick. I suppose Tony Snow planned his cancer too so he wouldn't have to explain certain misdeeds of Dubya and company for awhile. It would be just as stupid to believe that. Shame on you for even thinking this way. It is despicable.

You are not a decent person to ask such a question. Karma.
