I think it is important to keep these groups around for support in cases of racial discrimination. There are still people in the US that will discriminate if they are given a chance.

I do not think; however, that they should be involved in politics. I think these groups should stick to issues of discrimination, education, welfare reform, and other issues that directly impact their minority group.

I believe that kind of organizations will always be useful, since there will always exist vulnerable groups that needs help, or only to be heard, to take their needs, ideas and problems to the scene, wich couldn't be done by a lonely person.

But I have been asking about "La Raza" wich i didn't know much about. And whit that organization i have heard some very radical ideas and afirmations that, from my point of view, doesn't really help to solve needs and problems of the hispanic immigrants.

Instead of this they even provoque more confrontation, gives the american people arguments to be scared of them, and to hate them (not that i justify that kind of hate anyway).

I am not sure if this is done by " THE RAZA" it self, but my perception is that there are inside that movement some real radical groups that are really dangerous to their cause.
