He'd be impeached! He has already been told by Congress to lay off and we sure aren't getting into a war over a few British Sailors who are going to be released anyway!
Pissed would not describe the anger! I think the White House would be over ran by the people!!

First off it's highly unlikely we will see a conflict with Iran anytime soon. We don't have enough support abroad or at home. The misinformation campaign coming from the left has really hit the GOP hard and Bush could not get the support he would want.
However, pretending he did wage war against Iran. The American public would go nuts. Day time T.V is what feeds most people their political idea's. Few manage to make their own opinions anymore. Therefor, there would be a lot of out cry from the public. Why? The left would oppose the war as they have already sided against the U.S in an effort to attack the President.

in all likelihood. Why? no longer for the justifications hyped interior the mainstream press. In 1978, the U. S. asked the OPEC countries to apply the U. S. greenback via fact the baseline for the acquisition of all oil interior the international. In return, the U. S. certain all imports of oil to the U. S. could come from the middle East. wager who finally opted out to apply the Euro instead? Iraq, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela. Iraq have been given their comeuppance for that determination and now it form of feels Iran is next on the record. even nevertheless it should not be the U. S.. they're going to use Israel to do their grimy artwork with some puffed up excuse to attack. the rest you pay attention is in simple terms smoke and mirrors. that's all approximately oil and international banking. The Iranian human beings choose for a similar issues as you and that i: improve a relatives, having a job and sufficient to consume, protection for their previous human beings and residing in peace and solidarity. i've got faith their leaders might desire to tone down the rhetoric, yet hiya, why take crap from the international bully?

I suspect that it would not be positive, especially if we acted alone. My question is what happens if Britain attacks Iran? Would we support our long standing ally in their efforts? The situation seems very unstable right now and attacks against Iran are a real possibility.

I think that George can defend and justify his decision by saying that he is only supporting an ally that supported the US. In fact, he is obligated to do so, as he was so vehement in his 'with us or against us' speech. He would look ridiculous if he didn't. And his ego won't allow that!
The American public has swallowed alot of crap, and has proven that they will complain but tolerate whatever this president dishes up. So I don't see riots in the streets or widespread dissent. It will be another proud moment for many...as the good guys swoop in and exert their muscle. Just my opinion, of course...

We could get bombed by Russia, China, Venezuela or the 3 cells minimum here in the US since 9/11 . With US history of interfering with Iran & Iraq, back to 1953, we should be trying to make amends diplomatically not by Imperialism.

The only way he will take action is if Iran inserts itself further into the Iraq situation or if they do not curb their quest for nuclear weapons.
It will be split as it is now. The determining factor would be how it was done.

Does it really matter what the US public thinks? King George is going to do as he pleases anyway. Has he not proven this by his previous actions? Somebody needs to set up a hunting trip for Cheney to take Bush on.

Bush's political clout is so weak, he couldn't get the backing to invade a Burger King.
But if he somehow did, the magnetic ribbon companies will celebrate another guranteed banner year of sales of "support the troops" car magnets bought by the remaining Neo-con zombies.

I can only speak for myself. I would be outraged. It would be worse than anything else he's done, including invading Iraq. There's no justification for attacking Iran right now. None.
