You are much more altruistic than I am. If someone gave me all the money I wanted for only a single day, I'd toss some to poor people I saw, but would spend most of it being selfish. College accounts, retirement accounts, houses...

lol, "fairer distribution of wealth". Haha.
I would invest it in the morning, with that amount of money... by days end I would be filthy rich in the interest I had made that day. I would keep that interest money and invest it in low cap index funds/municipal bonds. I would then spend all my time answering questions on yahoo answer in the most assinying way possible. So I guess the answer is nothing.

sewer treatment plants around the world. Solar and wind power. Money for research for the earths waters that are contaminated so bad now no one will talk about it. And meds for everyone that needs them

Money can't change my country.
Maybe I will clear all that plastic bottles and garbic in nature, but soon people will again will filing nature with garbic. With money I can't change brain of my people.

well,in greece..you have to change the mentality of the people if you want to achieve anything!!so i'd spend a lot on advertising and educating!!!
you see in greece,they mistreat animals and they need to see that it is wrong to do that!!i help in animal shelters so i see first hand the abuse!!!
so i'd spend the money to help the stray animals in greece!!!
