Well, you just showed your complete ignorance of the whole affair. They were not FLOATING ON A DINGY. It was a large rigid frame inflatable boat. They were in IRAQI waters after inspecting a ship. They were not 'blind pack army rats', they were professionals who were trained to do the job they had just completed.
It must be embarrassing for your family to be related to you. Or is your whole family like you? I hope your parents had no more children after you and I hope you don't bred.

i am a Liberal, but this area is a military zone (anything inside of Iraq) and it is beyond foolish for Iran to be messing with this situation in taking hostages of one of the military groups or inserting spies to stir up trouble (who were caught). Whether or not you agree with our troops being in Iraq, they are there for another 2 years possibly. I really believe we will leave before 2 years. The issue of the Brits being taken has less to do with Iraq than it does with the nuclear weapons and the UN sanctions against Iran. The Iranian government is likely to enrage the current neo-con US government to just bomb the crap out of them. Personally I think the Brits can take them by themselves...they couldn't put land troops there in sufficient numbers, but they could blockade them and bomb whatever they wanted...GO BRITS...the Iranians are paper tigers. the Iranians are lying about the location and even if they strayed a few hundred yards into Iranian space, i still think the Iranians are the ones provoking a response.

well, they were in a small boat by themselves which should be evidence enought that they weren't spieing, oh and they were in Iraqi waters. So the Iranians were in the wrong.
