It is difficult to believe the war would be helpful or effective for this sort of case as it proved that Isreil could not release its two soldiers captured by Hezbulla prior to the war started last year in Labenan or even after war up to now. war with Iran would be worse than that happend between Hezbulla and Isreil.

By war, do you mean invade Iran? Not a chance. By going to war, we would endanger the lives of the British sailors. Not only that but mess up more in the Mideast than we already have. Remember that the cultures, beliefs, and relations with each other are different from ours. By starting another war, we would further damage international relations and we would gain nothing but more enemies and self-stupidity.

For now, we can only encourage the British sailors' safety. If the Iranians (government or people) intend any harm to the sailors, we may have no choice but be aggressive and insistent yet with caution and mindfulness on the situation. No rational decisions

IF America or England were as powerful as they are deluded to be, Iran would have been dealt with long ago. But those days ended years ago...as the Iraq fiasco shows. Iran has been loading up on high tech weapons from Russia and Eastern Europe and Russian support for over 15 years now. You only read what the US wants you to know in the US. The Iranians supposedly supplied the Iraqi insurgents with "weapons". How else did the "insurgents" get a weapon that can easily destroy an Abrams tank? Do you think the Iranians or "insurgents" developed it alone?

no. I think Iran has a much tougher and better equipped military than anyone else the British or US allies have faced there. They would need help to make it a quick clean campaign. The British admit they have no idea where their people are being held. Whether they were initially a whisker inside Irani or Iraqi waters is really immaterial as I am sure it happens on both sides all the time. It is a chess move. I would use it as a new argument to build a bigger coalition against them for now.

You can't compare the two. The British will be fighting against the principals, while Israel was fighting against Iran's surrogates. Had Israel fought a war against Iran, the release would have been more likely, but their mistake was fighting the stooges of Iran. Iran didn't care if Israel killed every last Hezbollah and every last Lebanese, and they were the ones that would decide if they would be released.

If diplomacy doesn't work, then that is the only other thing left. Sitting and waiting until Iran thinks it is proper is not an option.

What I think I fascinating, is that Iran has done nothing with the prisoners except parade them on TV... if they had illegally crossed into their waters, then Iran should be giving them trials, or sending them back to the UK with a 'don't do that again' message.

war isn't the reply. Israel gambled and misplaced on the theory that air capacity ought to decimate Hezbolah. It did not. So what makes human beings so certain that a similar will be utilized to Iran with a diverse effect?

Yes, I hope they goto war if they don't release them soon. I'm an American and I know the Iranian Military is crap, the British could take them out easiley. But the U.S will be helping, most likely. So they'll be destroyed quicker.

But they have Russia as their bodyguard.
