Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Governmentbacked study has revealed.

It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.

There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using history 'as a vehicle for promoting political correctness'.

This is happening in the UK but could EASILY happen in liberal schools here!

It is a residential parking ticket. I haven't got a pass yet and you get 3 hours at a time move it. I had moved my car within plenty of time over an hour, in fact. If the officer is not present can I seek dismissal on those grounds alone? The ticket was illegally issued anyways but the easier way the better way.

I am an Italian American, and I DEMAND an apology from America for past racism against Italian-Americans!

In fact, I want reparations from the nation to make up for the fact that Italian-Americans were once persecuted in this country!

Registered Democrats and Republicans seem to support their party even when they do something that is not good for America. We seem to have the "My political party can do no wrong" attitude. Both parties are equally guilty. How can we get people to start thinking American instead of Democrat or Republican?

I guy I know at school called my mom a "common trollop" (to put it mildly). I just laughed because my mom's hot, and his mom is a cow. We kept trading insults, until I finally said, "Oh yeah? Well your mom is a Howard Dean Liberal".

The kid practically knocked three of my teeth out, and now he's threatening to charge me with a hate crime.

Is what I did really so bad?

now that stern and steph miller have been taken off the air, all i hear is right wing radio, rush, prager, bennett, etc.
it seems to these guys that EVERY issue is about liberals at it's core.
i don't see how this can ever be conceived as anything positive.

The buzz today is that the US is planning a sneak attack against targets in Iran. The name of targets, ordinance to be used, the dates and time of the strike is plastered all over the internet.
What exactly is the sneaky part of this attack?

I notice on the "People" pulldown they have everyone seperated by race... is this really how they view America now? We're no longer a melting pot of "Americans" but instead are American tribes seperated by our skin color or ethnical background? Americans don't vote for their legislation based on race, we all vote together... so why should the issues listed here be seperated by race when they effect all of us?

Rosie O'Donnell spat back at conservative talk-show pugilist Bill O'Reilly after he called for her firing from ABC last week, comparing him to a character in George Orwell's "1984" who is "a fattish ... man of paralyzing stupidity, a mass of imbecile enthusiasms."

I checked out http://www.democrats.org/ and found a whole lot of the same rhetoric and partisan attacks that you see in the media. Is this really what the dems are about? They focus as much if not more on what the GOP is doing than their own issues.

I'll be the first to consider him the weakest, the most imcompetent and foolish president this country ever had. And I thought Reagan, Bush, sr. and Clinton quite bad. But this one eats the cake. Comparing him and Cheney is like comparing Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, classic comedians long dead. Or Lou Costello and Bud Abbott. But impeaching will not make a difference, Cheney will take over. What do you think, folks?

W. Bush is likely the better politician, but his foreign policy mistakes will costs this country for decades. Sure, Jimmy was widely derided as ineffectual, and yet that may have been what kept him from achieving the kind of lasting damage W. Bush has.

Anyone else get this funny feeling that they're gonna kick Rosie off the View soon?

I'm sure the station doesn't mind the anti-Bush parts but she's starting to get that unpredictable 'Michael Moore' diarrhea of the month problem and thats bad for business.

many people seem to have the gripe that setting a timeline would be letting the enemy know when to come back.. wait lets think about this.. so they would leave for a while? meaning we could spend more time on training.. have a stronger Iraqi force that would be able to stand up against them when they came back... and on top of that if the Iraqi's couldn't handle it when they came back and asked for our assistance.. we're talking they made real progress ... are doing their jobs.. and honestly asked.. we'd send troops to help..the American populace wouldn't be able to turn a blind eye to that... sounds like a brilliant strategy to give a timeline and make the terrorists slow down for a little while to me.
