Me too! Only, I'm a GEN-YOO-WINE souphound! I am officially a purebred mish mash of this nationality and that nationality.
SO... (I'm one-upping ya): I demand reparations for the Irish part of my family, the Polish part of my family, the Lithuanian part of my family, the English part of my family (yeah, some of minorities were mean to my English ancestors!), the German part of my family... IN FACT, I demand that the German part of my family make reparations to the Lithuanian and Polish parts of my family!
And there might be an Italian or two in there, someplace, too.
Make checks payable to: ME. Nevermind, just send cash.

The romans (italians) invaded and conquered my peoples lands centuries ago. I demand YOU apologize. This whole reparations thing to me is hilarious. My grandfather is deceased and i have to say if somebody cam up to me and said that my grandfather had wronged them and they demand payment from me i would tell them to piss off! If somebody has personally been racist to you and it caused you harm by all means demand compensation. However demanding that an entity such as the US gov pay you because the people UNDER that gov were racist to your grandparents seems like you just want a handout. Don't make excuses, the former mayor of NY was italian. Whats your excuse.
Ooops! I missed the add-on, this is an edit, i couldn't agree with you more.

I'll apologize to Italian-Americans when Italian-Americans apologize to us Irish-Americans for past racism against Irish-Americans. Fact o' the matter is, I demand reparations for the fact that Irish-Americans were once persecuted in this country, begorrah!
Uh-oh! The Japanese-American living next door just heard me hollering about that, and now HE wants apologies and reparations. Dang! And just wait until the Mexican-Americans and the German-Americans and the Dutch-Americans get hold of the idea. Crap, that'll just RUIN it for you and me! What we gonna do, dude?

Yeah, well, I'm half Irish. You know how the Irish were treated and stereotyped. I need reparations as well.
Personally, I think that I could take this reparations thing all the way back to the Romans. You know what they did to the Celtic queen Boudicca. I'm offended. I want interest.

Early chinese language migrants to united states of america of america existed on slave wages. there have been additionally various "small scale massacres" of chinese language immigrants in the previous West. And till the middle of the final century, it replaced into unlawful for an Asian guy to marry a white woman. It worked any opposite direction too nevertheless..... In China, the Boxer Rebels murdered hundreds of eu missionaries who had outfitted hospitals and colleges and introduced cutting-edge civilisation to China. Racism and xenephobia are not the province of only one lifestyle.

Perhaps you think you're being funny, but I don't think so. While it's true that many different nationalities and ethnicities have come here to America, all but one group came of their own accord and experienced a better way of life than what they had left. And while it is true that these groups were often discriminated against in various parts of the country, there were vast differences between being an immigrant and being a slave.
First and foremost, slaves did not get paid. Secondly, every aspect of their culture was torn from them. While Italians, Irish, Germans, Scandinavians, etc., could maintain their own language, religion, traditions, food, culture, etc. and form communities and neighborhoods for mutual support and security, slaves had their families ripped apart and were forbidden by law from practicing any of their own cultural or religious rituals. They could not speak their own language. They were not allowed to learn to read. They were not allowed to go to school. They were subjected to harsh and often brutal working hours and conditions with no way to escape. The women were routinely raped and the men routinely beaten.
While immigrants from other countries were able to earn wages and begin to save and create the beginnings of wealth for them and their families, slaves were not paid and their free labor formed the basis for the wealth of innumerable slave-owning families.
So PLEASE do not make light of a group of people who feel they were wronged. Whether you agree or not, try to have some compassion for the way they feel and for the fact that this discrimination still continues until today, whereas Italians, Irish, Germans, etc. do not routinely get discriminated against.

Haha....I believed you for a minute.
You're right. Asking for reparations for something that happened long before any of us were born is stupid. Everyone has relatives that were mistreated at some point in history. It's way past time to learn from our past mistakes and move on with our lives.
