the war is of course inevitable, bush doesn't care about what we think or his approval ratings which he has demonstrated time and time again. he and his carlyle group friends already have the oil pipe line being put in and when it is complete they will cap it, this whole thing is to conserve oil for futrue use so that growing china cannot claim later on. the ironic thing to all this is that bush is doing whats best for americas future, he;s just going about it the wrong way.

Well if the War on Terror keeps going... Which I am sure it is since congress talks about it all the time... Then yes, war with Iran is inevitable because they are known to fund and house terrorists.
Although Iran does seem more talkative these days. They might not be caving in to our deals yet, but at least we're getting more positive responses than we have in the past.
Iran is going to be worse than Iraq, because they have probably been preparing since the start of the War on Terror, also the fact Russia said they are not going to put up with a US attack on Iran.... So they are ready.

I don't agree that war is never the answer...
However, in this case, a war with Iran would be tremendously foolish. The price of oil is going to head upwards of $100/barrel, and will stay there for weeks, months, or years, thus causing a calamitous global economic slowdown.
Even if the war is limited to airstrikes, we will have guaranteed a massive terrorist retaliation, and Iraq will turn into a proxy killing field, much worse even than it is now.
Russia and China will decide that they don't much care for our actions and you can be guaranteed that they will retaliate with property confiscation of western companies, etc. China may well decide that the WildWest situation in the Middle East is the perfect diversion for them to invade Taiwan.
In other words, only someone as stupid as Bush and his neocon nut crew would seriously contemplate an attack on Iran. The consequences of doing so will be extremely dire.

Doubtful, Bush approval ratings would plummet to 2% if war broke out in Iran. We have a powerful military, but Iran would take us to task. Death tolls would be much higher on our side, it's just not possible to start a war with them like we could in Afghanistan or Iraq.

It doesn't matter what YOU think about war. It matters what the nation that hates you thinks about war. Iran and North Korea have both expressed a desire to nuke the U.S.
You can dance barefooted in the daisies and chant peace songs all you want. But if the other guys' version of "peace" doesn't include your existence, you're out of luck.

I think we need to keep our noses out of their business. The problem is between Iran and England. Let them handle it. Why does this president feel the need to get into stuff that doesn't really concern him. Now if it were Americans I would say drop a bomb on their *** and lets go have a beer.

I've been re-thinking it and I've about decided that a purely diplomatic solution may be possible. The "religion of peace" has shown that they can and will use any and all means of murder, torture, deceit, etc. to convert the world to Islam. Iran is now in the process of acquiring nuclear arms and their willingness to use weapons of mass destruction has been demonstrated repeatedly in the Middle East.
It appears to me that we can wait for Islam to attack us again - OR - we can deal with them before they get nuclear weapons - OR - the whole world can convert to Islam (problem solved).
After I convert - who do I get to kill?

No, their terrorist president could die tomorrow and nothing will come to be. Even the Iranian government is trying to get him voted out 18 months early. He's not wanted any more cause he's just asking to get many innocent Iranians killed for his pleasure.
