Talk to the judge's bailiff or the court reporter; they can explain the policies reguarding your request. It will certainly not be available on the web until the case is decided by the judge or jury; even then it is doubtful anybody will take the time to transcribe the minutes and post them on the net.

Courts have their own websites and charge a monthly fee for you to view case files electronically.

Your right to access certain types of civil and/or criminal cases depends on the public disclosure laws where you live.

Depending on the type of case and it's municipal location, a judge may have the proceedings trancribed automatically. Usually, even if an attorney on either side has one typed up, it isn't filed with the court.

Some courts videotape or tape record specific kinds of cases but those aren't available via the internet. Because your friend's case is on-going, the records would be available a few days after a hearing.

No. If you are a party to the case, you can pay to have the court reporter transcribe the minutes during the trial, or after any particular hearing.

But these minutes are not generally available to non-parties.
