The Iranian regime is obviously defiant, insidious, and unpeaceful. This is why the world needs strong leaders like President Bush. Everyone wants a diplomatic solution to global crisis, yet how do you negotiate with a foreign government that lies?

This is how they play the game. Honestly, this act that they have made is a good sign in a way. It shows they do not want war first of all. They are biding their time with some deflection tactics. Second, they want to raise international attention but not specifically go after the US, they want to go after a close ally to make it appear that the US would also be involved. (It probably is but maybe they can not get proof) They are probably also trying to distract from another scenario that they want no one to know about.

Lying? While unfortunate, it is highly unlikely that they are lying about this case. They go to an international court with this - this incident did in fact infringe on Iran's sovereignty. This is a very big deal and actually constitutes an act of war but Iran choose to handle it calmly and just arrest the personnel. There is a lot to foreign politics that most in the United States do not understand. There is a game to play and honestly this is much like the cold war with Iran and the US right now. They know we cant go to war with them because of so much dissent in the US, but they also know a cat does not provoke a sleeping dog just because he is on a chain. Chain's can snap, and if all else, doghouses can be dragged along behind the dog as it runs towards the cat as fast as possible.

IT will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Iran is the worst of the terrorist nations. Hey, man! They are Muslims who live by a different standard than we. We (and England) are the good guys in the white hats and we are going to get slaughtered if we don't start to fight like the terrorists do. Pull out of Iraq and let the Shiites and Sunnis knock each other off. Drop a few well placed bombs (not nukes) on the Iranian atomic facilities and lay back for awhile. Let the Iranians kill each other....and they will eventually decimate the country.

I find it amazing that Iran accuses anyone of propaganda, when it uses the pathetic and ridiculous old hat tactics of parading the captives on Iranian TV, and forcing them to say nice things about Iran and admitting that they were in the wrong.

This is propaganda in its lowest form and the most used by parasitical dog nations like this.

As the saying goes, there can't be sound without two hands clapping together! It is a case of provocateur vz. provoked! After all, groundwork is already being prepared for yet another war in the region and ingredients have to be collected for a 'dossier' to be prepared! And, who else could beat the best player Britain in that direction, as they did prior to the Iraqi invasion!

You dont negotiate,You take the gloves off and get to business! If we stopped being so PC and started smoke-checking some of those yahoos over there i promise you we would start seeing some results. Suicide bombers....what a freakin joke...like thats impresses anyone with a spine. You wanna strike fear in the hearts of Americans...try killing off a humvee full of Marines with a pocket knife... see how that works out for them!!

You need to check again, Britain, and USA are the biggest propagandist in the world. You cant believe anything our government says. The U.S.A. and Britain are the biggest terrorist organizations in the world. We are both hypocrite countries who try to impose our governments will on every other country. We need a change in our system of government and Bush, Cheney, and every one else in the white house, needs to be charged with war crimes.

Iran is ready. They still have their nuclear facilities and they hate us. They are trying to goad us to fight and then count on the schism that has occured in our politics to keep us from doing anything. The best way to negotiate with a lying government that recently kidnapped a shipful of british soldiers is to give them a chance to go peacefully. Then we use our volunteer (<--key word here-our best soldiers are volunteers) soldiers to blow their government to kingdom come.

Any thinking person knows that all sides use "propaganda" and what not. Why do people get so excited about these events, half the time they ARE staged and false propaganda.
