My fiance & I were arguing in public, outside a restaurant in Tustin, California. He pushed me. I fell down. 3 seperate witnesses called the police. I was not hurt. It was all a misunderstanding. We had been drinking, we were loud, and the "push" was intended for me to go home, not to fall down. That isn't to say that my fiance was not agitated. It seems that what I know to be true doesn't matter to anyone. Can anyone give helpful advise as to how this can be presented and understood for what it is. An argument, a misunderstanding and not an act of a violent criminal. It seems that the state of California has a legistated approach to this situation that varies greatly from other, more reasonable, states. If you can offer assistance under the strictest enforcement, please write to me right away.

That's right, it's me, Noam Chomsky, outlaw Historian. If anyone had ever picked up a history book, wouldn't they have learnt that America hates democracy, and has worked - since the 1940s - to ensure that democracy is destroyed?

Oh, sorry. Was I interrupting what's on the television? That's okay. Go back to sleep.

What is the difference between Power of Attorney and executor of the will? Does the POA end with the passing of that person? If she had a will, but no executor named, does the POA become the executor? Or do all 3 kids need to go to probate since there is no executor?

My Dad passed, my Mom needs to get affairs in order. Also lets say Mom breaks a hip, my sister is the POA, and says she needs to go into a nursing home, She is the POA, can I as a son say no, I want her to live with me? Mom needs to make some decisions.

I want whats best for Mom. I never want to see her in a home. As far as the will it has no executor named, just says 3 way split between the 3 kids. So Mom has to name a POA & choose an executor. It would probably help if the three kids remotely liked or trusted each other.

As we continue to lose our fighting men in Iraq in what is basically a civil war which we entered under false pretenses why won`t our leaders recognize the vast majority of Americans want this to end and our men and women Home? It seems that this war continues not through reason but which side of the political aisle our elected leaders sit. Americans voted for leadership which whould reflect the opinions af the voters.Once elected these leaders fail to gather the facts that this war is a religious civil war promoted by an overzealous few who are not leaders. What can be done to acheive a truly democratic leadership reflecting the will of the people?

Now she's on the View screaming that terrorists have feelings that we should care about. She also is saying that the Iran hostage situation is being made up by the British to start a war. She also believes that 9/11 was an inside job.

I have heard that voting at the local level for offices such as mayor, city council, and school board are very low and I was wondering if you believe it is important to exercise your right to vote in a local election? Why or why not?

Does anyone agree with me that we need immediate troop withdrawals from Iraq? Every day American soldiers are lost fighting in hostile, middle eastern territory. If we do bring our GIs back, we will not have any troops for the next 'big' war. Agree?

Apparently Fox News guest Danny Bonaduce thinks so. I guess it is now unpatriotc to question gov't and search for the truth. I can guarantee you that they won't debate the facts though- what does that tell you. If they tought they were right they would get a scientist and have them debate someone like Steven Jones, but that would totally discredit Fox and all of the other corporate controlled news media.

This is something I was wondering about. I asked both my dad, who helps out in the courts, and my history teacher who spent some time in law school. My dad said that he was pretty sure that they could and that it was called something like 'side-stepping' and also tried looking it up. My teacher said that it wasn't possible.

Why does it not seem to bother the American public that we are paying triple the gas prices we used to pay 6 years ago? Why does no one stand up and scream asking why the oil companies are all making historic record breaking profits? Why is it every time price per barrel of oil goes down gas prices seem to rise? Why does Congress do nothing to stop this monopoly in the oil industry, when people literally cannot afford to work because prices are so high, yet they break up Microsoft cuz it puts out a superior product to its numerous competitors? Why are there no acts of civil disobedance to put an end to all this nonsense?
