My buddies tease me for joinin the Army all the time sayin I'm gonna die real quick lol. I'm just tryin to understand why they look down on us in the Army. our training is basically the same. minus their amphibian operations stuff.

Actually, the life expectancy for a marine is much shorter on the battlefield than for a soldier. And they have to talk trash to motivate themselves and each other. Just let them. Their situation sucks. There's a lot more soldiers than there are Marines. They have to get piggyback rides on navy ships, and seamen give them grief. They need to feel the camaraderie and psychosis that comes with being a devil dog.
And trust me, their basic is just a bit harder than ours. Not much, but just a teeny bit.

Marine boot camp just a bit tougher than yours!? Come off it, you try 13 weeks of hell!!! There is a difference Marine Boot Camp and Army Basic Training. Key work "Basic."

Well, my Daddy is a Master Gunnery Sargent and from what Ive gathered around bases and from my family which is a Marine family with going back to my great great great grandfather they have all been in the Marines and my Uncles and cousins as well. But I think it is b/c they are meaner and my Daddy said something about them being the ones to go in and straight up what the other screw up. I dunno I really wasen't paying that close of attention. Anyway I hope this helps you, and pklease for everybody that reads this please pray for our troops over there ALL of Them!!!!
