Americans need not another White President. Anybody, whether Black or Brown can be a President as long as qualified under the Constitution.

I'm going to play the evil, devil's advocate and say "Because historically, white men have had the best opportunities to receive a proper education. They've had the money and connections to participate and be successful in politics on several levels before ever reaching the oval office." Now, what do I really think of the next election? I think that the politic arena is a Hollywood equivelant for the unattractive among us. I think that those people of priviledge have never known the plight of their constituents. I think that we really need a president who at a minimum can relate to his or her people, and not lead them around be the nose. I think we need change. I fear that, despite the outer shell of person running, the inner politician will be no different than that within the white men before him.

These people that are running were groomed from birth to be president.. look at Al Gore, yes he did go to Viet Nam and yes he was a soldier.. the only thing that is not told was he was put in a safe job and had body guards to protect every move ...Clinton was the slap in the face of our nation here he is a draft dodgier that became president .. this guy went to Russia to live and protest the war in Viet Nam.. Put in office by rich cats that needed someone in office they could control..

Race shouldn't be a factor in deciding a president, but I still like Obama for president anyway. And the person who said Obama supporters make race an issue doesn't know what he's talking about.

Well, we need a President to head the Executive Branch of our Federal government. Race makes no difference in ability. What do you have against white people?

you need a more liberal and sensible minded administration, race is not an issue.

America is alledgedly 'the land of free' and yet there are people serving life for minor drug offences, states where its legal to spank kids in HIGH SCHOOL, legal adults being told they cannot be trusted to drink until they are 21....and a whole heap of other things that would cause outrage anywhere else in the western world and are certainly not attributes of a 'free' society.

I know that not all of this is Bush's doing, but it's all some previous presidents' doing.

America needs to liberalise, and stick two fingers up at the small town bible thumping bigots that seem to ruin your country.

N.B. I like Americans, I know some that are great people

Why should we, as Americans, focus in on the skin color of an elected leader? Ans: We should not. We should look at the contents of their heart and mind, not the color of their skin. You should be ashamed of even asking such a question in the first place.

I frankly don't care what race, gender, or whatever the President is. All that matters is that he or she is the best possible person for the job.
