Dear NBC Nightly News,

My name is Linda and I'm a student in Martin Tn. I work weekends with the girl who sent me the email at the end of this message. The email is from her friend, a young soldier in Iraq. You know, all we ever hear is how the war is bad, how everyone is against it and how much we don't need to be involved. I, for one, don't fall for that. This young man sends us an email about once a month. It appears that the soldier's viewpoint and the democrat politician's viewpoints are a bit off. I realize this operation is taking a while, well duh, we all knew that going in.... we knew it wouldn't just be a walk in the park and then come home. Over 47,000 (!!!) American soldiers were killed in vietnam 1965-1971. That's over a span of only 6 years. In 4 years we've lost just over 3000 soldiers. Any loss is unacceptable however this IS war we are talking about and there will be losses. Can't people see how few have been lost compared to other wars and conflicts? Why can't we have some positive viewpoints from Iraqi citizens and American soldiers to tell us the REAL story about what is going on over there? Not some made up political, one-sided, agenda based opinion? I want to hear from REAL Iraqi citizens, police and leaders and from REAL soldiers.
Just a thought, ANYBODY ELSE FEEL THIS WAY??

hey there- I just wanted to let everyone know what has been going on lately. First I must let you all know that we have lost a soldier. His name was SPC. Anthony Kaiser and he was killed by a snipper while engaged with insurgents on 17Mar07 at approx. 1320. He was killed the day I got back to Baghdad and he was my friend. Anthony was a New York State Trooper prior to joining the Army. He felt that he needed to be a part of what was going on over here. He has been awarded the Bronze Star with Valor for his actions that day. I was at least fortunate to be back for his memorial here and be a part of it since he was one of my guys. He will be missed.
Recently the Army has started an opperation that has been very productive. It has also been costly. If anyone asks you if what we are doing here is unimportant and we shouldn't be here, then let me tell you this. Durring this op the Army has collected plane tickets to Chicago. Some from as recent as two months ago and some for a future trip. They have collected bogus passports for multiple individualls and documentation to get them into the US. Not to mention the weapons and bomb making materials they use against us here. But this to has cost us some good people. An IP (Iraqi Police Officer) was killed yesterday by an IED and it wounded three Army personell two severely. They underwent surgery here and have been transported to Germany for further observation. No one here wants to quit. They want to go home, but only when they are done. The area and the province is busy as I have said before, but it is managable if the polititians would just allow the Army to do what they do.
I am fine and have been keeping busy. They haven't let me go out lately due to seat issues, and not having enough to let me put my butt in one. But it is going well. I have finally got my own place and I don't have to walk across the street to take a shower so that is nice.
I spent some time in Jordan on my way back here and I got to go to Petra. It was wonderful. I can only compare it to the Grand Canyon. It is truly a marvel and if you are ever in the neighborhood you have to go see it. I didn't get to go to the Dead Sea because of snow if you can believe it. But Petra was definitely cool. I will attach a picture of me there.
Everything is good and it is moving right along. I can't think of anything I or my Army guys need right now so that is good to. I just wanted to let you all know about our recent loss and our wounded. Just remember that we do need to be here, and that these kids are keeping the wolf off of your door...really. I got the proof.

I came home from a psychiatric hospital that I spent a week in to get my medicines straightened out and when I came home he bolt locked me out of my home and I had to climb through the window to get in and he hid all the vehicles so I can't get my medicines on time or see my doctor/doctors. Does he have a "legal" right to do this? Does he have a legal right to try removing me from my home although my name is on the deed? Only his name is on the mortgage, but both our names are on the deed to this house. Thank you for all responses.

I am writing my senior thesis on the recently passed bill HR6061, and ultimately have to decide whether or not the United States should build a border wall between the US and Mexico. It was passed in the Senate with a vote of 96-3. I have read many studies and have a lot of statistics, but I want to know what the "average person" thinks. I am hoping to get the opinion of those around the country and around the world. Please let me know what you think and why. Thanks!

War profiteer.
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54932

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., has abruptly walked away from her responsibilities with the Senate Military Construction Appropriations Subcommittee after a report linked her votes to the financial well-being of her husband's companies, which received billions of dollars worth of military construction contracts she approved.

"Feinstein abandoned MILCON as her ethical problems were surfacing in the media, and as it was becoming clear that her subcommittee left grievously wounded veterans to rot while her family was profiting from the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. It turns out that Blum also holds large investments in companies that were selling medical equipment and supplies and real estate leases – often without the benefit of competitive bidding – to the Department of Veterans Affairs, even as the system of medical care for veterans collapsed on his wife's watch," he wrote.

Unions are happy that people will have no choice but to pay higher prices. They are not interested in the fact that literally millions of New Yorkers would be thrilled to have the opportunity to shop at Wal Mart if they so desired. The far left loves the idea of choice, unless that choice is different than theirs.

Should the president be telling our enemies when we are pulling the troops out of war? i think he should not be telling this cause when we do pull them out is tells them yeah come over here and bomb us. And yeah come over here and start war in the U.S. This is not cool at all. I mean what is he thinking. I bet if Hilary was in office she wouldn't be telling our enemies nothing of the short.

In a speech on December 8, 2004, regarding the passage of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act (IRTPA) of 2004, Senator Clinton delivered remarks on her approach to homeland security. "[This] legislation calls for dramatic improvements in the security of our nation's transportation infrastructure, including aviation security, air cargo security, and port security. Through this legislation, the security of the Northern Border will also be improved, a goal I have worked toward since 2001. Among many key provisions, the legislation calls for an increase of at least 10,000 border patrol agents from Fiscal Years 2006 through 2010, many of whom will be dedicated specifically to our Northern Border. There will also be an increase of at least 4,000 full-time immigration and customs enforcement officers in the next 5 years [10]."

Why do police always get on TV and cry that a slain officer had a wife and kids, and that the criminal is an SOB? If the officer had a family, maybe they shouldn't have been cops. You know damn well every time you punch into your shift you might not punch out. So where are your priorities?
Furthermore, when a criminal is slain or jailed, they had it coming. No concern for the welfare of the children they leave behind; which leads to a new crop of criminals.
Now before you get all bent out of shape saying i support cop killing, I don't support any killing. Just want to illustrate the hypocricy of the behavior. If you put yourself in harm's way accept that reality and possible outcomes. If you can't, do something else.
OK let the screaming and whining begin

My friend and I are being deployed to Iraq in May and she told me that we can lower our debts to a lower interest rate since we are deploying by using the Soldiers and Sailors act...trouble is, I don't even know what it is! I've heard something about it before but the military never informed me of this. So basically...what is it and how does it work!? Thanks :o)

Being that the media and other groups have tried to blur the meaning of terms "illegal alien" and "immigrant". We need a term that really describes what the difference is between a criminal that is just here to take advantage of all the bleeding hearts willing to spend our tax dollars to subsidize their families, who by the way don't have any allegiance to our country and TRUE legal immigrants who went about becoming a citizen the proper way.

If you look at the rantings of the Questions from both sides of the Aisle? You see such hatred, anger, lies, and so much discourse. There's very little chance that we can reach any kind of a conclusion. If we, in THIS Forum, can't act and talk Civil. How are we to expect our Elected Officials to do the same? How should we expect Leaders of other Nations, to agree. When a Few Americans, are at eachothers throat?
I propose that The Democrats that frequent this Cataogory. Speak to eachother and come to a unitifed agreement on what THEY want for this Nation. I ask my Conservative Collegues, to join together and speak with one Voice? To see how we want the future to be. Then, both sides can talk it out and make our recommendations on what we want as a Group of People from Both sides Of The Aisle. We know that arguements will never solve disagreements? Why is slander, Hatred, and Ill-Will, so common, even on a Web site, like this?

How can you still find Bush an Honorable man when he said on the news that since the Dems have oppossed him, he is going to Veto there bill for emergency funds for the support of the soliders and then it will be all the Dems fault that they didn't get the money because they wouldn't do what he wanted?

If you truely think about it, it's all his fault if the troops don't get the money because he Veto-ed the bill.

Clinton supports incremental reforms that would provide universal access to health care by subsidizing insurance premiums for those unable to pay, but not Single-payer health care.

In a speech to Harvard Medical School on June 4, 1998, Clinton outlined general support for universal affordable health care for Americans. "There are 41 million people without health insurance. Who will take care of these people in the future? How will we pay for their care? How will we pay for the extra costs that come when someone is not treated for a chronic disease or turned away from the emergency room? The job of health care reform cannot be done when access to care depends on skin color or the neighborhood they live in or the amount of money in their wallet. Let’s continue to work toward universal affordable, quality health care [6]."

maybe not the biggest issue out there.. but hey.. you never know.

Net Neutrality

Senator Clinton on May 18, 2006 released a statement outlining her intentions to be an original cosponsor of the Dorgan and Snowe amendment to the Telecommunications Act of 1996 that protects network neutrality in the United States. The bill aims to protect internet consumers and small businesses from large Internet service providers who would try to block content that favors their competitors. She says that the Internet must continue to use an “open and non-discriminatory framework” so that it may be used as a forum where “views are discussed and debated in an open forum without fear of censorship or reprisal”.

“I support net neutrality... [The Internet] does not decide who can enter its marketplace and it does not pick which views can be heard and which ones silenced. It is the embodiment of the fundamental democratic principles upon which our nation has thrived for hundreds of years.
