If you look at the rantings of the Questions from both sides of the Aisle? You see such hatred, anger, lies, and so much discourse. There's very little chance that we can reach any kind of a conclusion. If we, in THIS Forum, can't act and talk Civil. How are we to expect our Elected Officials to do the same? How should we expect Leaders of other Nations, to agree. When a Few Americans, are at eachothers throat?
I propose that The Democrats that frequent this Cataogory. Speak to eachother and come to a unitifed agreement on what THEY want for this Nation. I ask my Conservative Collegues, to join together and speak with one Voice? To see how we want the future to be. Then, both sides can talk it out and make our recommendations on what we want as a Group of People from Both sides Of The Aisle. We know that arguements will never solve disagreements? Why is slander, Hatred, and Ill-Will, so common, even on a Web site, like this?

By signing in, below? You're saying that you want this site to be a place to talk about the Issues that are surrounding us? And not be so filled with all of the reteric that we've become so use to. I'm sick of it, and I think most Americans are too. What do you think?

That is one of the most rational, lucid explanations of the problems with divisiveness and the solutions for unity !!
I agree 100% and then another 100% !!!

Buzzard, You've only been a member since March 19th and you're already Level 3> Brings to mind some possibilities:
1) You need take some breaks, you are burning out the fuse you're living on.
2) You've reincarnated to Y!A.
3) This is only one of your Y!A identities.
Keep in mind this is Just a Q&A forum. (Unless you're using it for cyber dates or cyber sex or cyber cheating or even hook up outside in 'real time' which obviously some here do in the political section ... to the point of "pulling a train"--politics make strange bed fellows, huh?)
[EDIT: Thanks for the email and this is a Great Question and PLLLZZZZZZZ don't think I'm suggesting Buzz is one of the cyberdaters!! I meant "you" in the sense of users in general that prefer to find their action in politics section instead of singles and dating section.]
My faith was restored in this process, by asking a question (2 actually with one linked to the other). I got no trolling on the questions, great answers, a bit of email and a whole new perspective. The email was the most valuable. Some of the "haters" I found were just young ppl, arguing with the vim and vigor of youth, some felt it was just part of how the game was played. I realized this process does work.
Don't confuse trolling with heated discussion. And pleeezzz don't expect everyone in your party to agree! Because that just ain't gonna happen. Take a step back and read my below linked questions; then, take a deep breath. Like you, my friend, I couldn't see the forrest for the trees.
Have a good one!

First of all, you are taking this place WAAAY too seriously. Anyone with serious opinions and arguments should be using those at appropriate places, too, instead of wasting time here. Others come here to vent out, and that is how it all sounds. And it's not everyone - there are people who offer rational arguments, but without much effect.
Secondly, you really need to clean up your English - I simply can't take seriously someone who knows only one language and can't do even that right (I'm giving you a shot, though, for now) - if you read all those posts, I think you'd agree that most republicans are embarrassingly illiterate, and that says something about the level of intellect and education... and affects the responses you get.
Finally, the elected officials got where they got because they are ALL corrupt and rich, and I doubt that anyone with a healthy, active brain trusts any politicians these days. So, even if by some miracle we here agreed, they wouldn't - they behave like like two WWF teams, putting up a show of opposing each other when in reality all they want is power and money.

I am with you 100%. I have been attacked by both sides, but most often the right, because of my beliefs. They are just that - MY beliefs. I would rather debate why I feel as I do than regress to grade school insults and meaningless "talking-points". Few seem to feel the same, though. I am open to any and all MEANINGFUL debate on any subject, but will not be a party to meaningless partisan banter and vindictive diatribes.
The only way to move forward is to stop turning left or right.
I asked a similar question 2 weeks ago.

I am Conservative and prefer intelligent debate. After all, what good does hatred do? It surely doesn't solve problems and only serves to harden people's hearts and close their minds even further. The folks on my contact list I have chosen for their ability to articulate intelligibly and offer reasonable and interesting responses. And I like some humor as well! I'm sure there are more out there, but so far this group answers a lot of the same questions as I do, so I am more familiar with them.
When people have to tear down other people to try and elevate themselves, well, that action says a lot about THEM.

Hear, hear!!
There is one person who responded to this question that is part of a "group of friends" who are amongst the WORST when it comes to using slurs and labels.
I absolutely refuse to lower myself to that level.
I fear, however, that our expectations for a "free forum" are in vain. Too many miscreants just find it all to "entertaining" to come here, just to fling epithets at people from behind the safety of their computer. That is indeed sad.

I almost always try to be civil and reasonable. I'm human and have my limits, though. At least I feel guilty about it afterwards!
I am biased, but not dishonest.
A tip of the hat to you!

I am a Conservative and have very strong opinions about character and morals...and what is RIGHT. I am called names even before they start to answer my questions so I would be HAPPY if all of that stopped in favor of just answering questions and debating an issue with civility.
