As long as you're specifically attached to a Marine Unit or Batallion then you are authorized to wear the MARPAT. Our Company Devil Docs, Batallion Chaplain, and Battalion Medical staff wear the MARPAT. The difference is that they don't have Eagle, Globe, and Anchor/USMC embedded in the MARPAT.

The collar devices are of the Medical Corps, Nurse Corps, Dental Corps, and Chaplain's Corps (all staff officer). The Corpsman collar device is also worn.

Sailors Don't wear Marine BDU's, they wear Navy BDU's. There are lots of situations wear Sailors wear BDU's. Hospital Corpsmen wear them, Master at Arms wear them and anyone else assigned to security detail or people on their way over to Iraq to augment the forces there. Collar devices and uniform wear for Navy BDU's can be found by reading the Navy Uniform Regulations.

Corpsmen or anyone that has trained with the Marines. Corpsmen can wear them because they've earned them. Master at Arms are not allowed to wear digie cams unless they were trained with marines, they have to wear navy issued Cammi's.. The collar devices are Navy of course
