they suspended habeus corpus. what does that say to you? it says to me there are no "civil rights." tightening up everyday.

and still no sanctions against saudi arabia (911 perpetrators were allegedly saudi nationals), yet our civil rights have been trashed. it's like WE are guilty. like the american public is to blame. in a way we are guilty, we allowed an unelected texan with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove (to momma) to move into the whitehouse. how did it happen?

Nope. this is merely the ameliorations that usually take place in the process the path of historical past. For one thousand years we've been instructed that the Earth grew to become into flat and the solar revolved around us. That God and all of the Saints lived at the back of the blue Vail in the sky. that replaced. We have been instructed for seven hundred years that loopy old women folk that lived on my own have been witches. We burned them on the stake and took their property. that replaced. dark dermis minorities and girls folk weren't clever sufficient to be knowledgeable. that replaced. Social upheaval is often challenging on conservatives in spite of if it happens besides. Violence may be a made from those variety of ameliorations. See French and Russian revolutions as examples. yet word all of them ended with substitute. i do no longer think of united statesa. will ever be a Christian conservative utopia yet that may not end them from attempting. The final American Civil conflict had a great variety of those components in contact. learn the real human beings of the South and you will discover the well-known-day Republican celebration values. a very based society according to biblical regulation. If the conservatives refuse to incorporate those ameliorations then they are going to be left at the back of as broke rural hicks dwelling in 0.33 international circumstances. After a technology or 2 they pass slowly back into the mainstream. this is how historical past has long gone in the previous.

The current administration isn't doing either. Its the liberals that are eroding civil rights by abusing it. They abuse it by trying to apply it to every aspect of life. Those liberals of color which the civil rights were meant to protect use the race card to abuse it.

And being gay and getting or not getting unwarranted social benefits is not a civil right.

Well, I would point to the anti-gay marriage amendment that Bush proposed to get re-elected into office. Banning a group of people from the right to get married (even civilly) and excluding them from certain benefits is anti-civil rights no matter how you feel about lgbt issues.

Civil rights for citizens take a backseat to the alleged rights of the illegal aliens. Illegals have NO rights but they sure demand them all the time!

if they want to investigate you all they need do is find some shadow that they can twist into a terrorist connection and you have NO rights. I bet anyone here has the components to make an explosive device under your kitchen sink.

I'm more concerned with the upcoming administration.

When a candidate CAMPAIGNS on the promise that they will violate the Bill of Rights, it is time to be scared.

With forced busing, affirmative action, minority quotas, and proposed slave reparations, the current status is: Do whites have rights?
