I was being interviewed while under investigation and during the interview was advised that they allowed a felon to call my phone, not once but twice, i assume to see if I would talk to him (first attempt, my child answered and call was terminated, second call was unsuccessful).
It still has me pretty ticked off that they would allow these phone calls, while they were listening. I looked up entrapment, and it doesn't fall under this. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

We are dealing with people who turn their own children into bombs. Only pure evil would take the innocent children and turn them into weapons of death. Yet all we hear from the anti war left is that George Bush is the most evil person in history. Someone's perspective is off. Especially when our soldiers volunteer for the soldiers life.

Help me settle an argument with a buddy of mine:

He says it is legal under the Basic Speed Law to drive faster than the posted speed limit if conditions are ideal (no constructions, dry roads, unlimited visibility, etc.).

I say the Basic Speed Law is only for non-ideal conditions, and the maximum posted speed limit is for ideal conditions, and, legally, you are not allowed to go over this for any reason.

Which side is right?

That many republicans just want to attack Clinton and Obama's names (which is ridiculous and holds no sway over who they actually are) and many democrats just want to attack Giuliani's marriage history and the fact that he's the most liberal republican running (shouldn't they be happy that he's more liberal than half the democrats in office? just in case he does win?)

why don't we spend a whole day talking about policy instead?

(I know, wishful thinking.. but hey.. I'm a liberal.. gotta try and find something positive to talk about) :)

I already wrote a few times about a recent "ex-boyfriend" who was acting shady, so I publically dumped him over Myspace(go me!) He still has a pile of clothes(given to him by his brother) at my apartment. A few weeks ago before I dumped him, when he started being ignorant, I called him and expressed my annoyance by telling him to come get his clothes. Needless to say, that never happened. My ex and I have been arguing with each other and basically belittling each other in mutual ways. Two friends and I are thinking of dumping his clothes(along with his Mountain Dew case he left behind) onto his front lawn one morning! Haha. My friends think this is really funny, but I just want to make sure there isn't any chance that this will result in "vandalism" charges or some stupid little law breaking. I mean, dropping off his clothes on his lawn will be embarrassing, but it's better than me simply throwing them away, right? I can't get arrested for this, can I?

The Patriot Act and the 2007 Defense Authorization Act completely contradict Democracy and constitutionally protected freedoms!
Do we have to suffer just 1 American citizen unjustly arrested or detained before anyone says this is dangerous to allow our government the ability to legally do this?
They have already arrested and/or detained other citizens of the world!
Isn' it time we practice what we preach intsead of just saying we do?

It just stirrs up more Anti-Americanism, especially among Muslims and in the Middle East [it also gives ground in a way for extremists to stirr up hatred towards the US, with Palestine being so sensitive to Muslims]...And it's not like Israel is the beacon of light in the region, its human rights' violations are publicised to Arabs and the world on a daily basis...is it all about the Jewish lobby?...if not why? It is not like Israel is too weak to protect itself, is it?

<<"On this very important matter, I would extend a hand of friendship to the president, just to say to him, 'Calm down with the threats,'" Pelosi said. "There's a new Congress in town. We accept your constitutional role. We want you to accept ours.">>

What a tool. She needs to get on camera more often. everytime she opens her mouth she makes me sure I'm right to be a Republican.

If she had a set, she would push to defund the war right now. I mean after all, "the people have spoken."

I fear for the country with Democrats really in charge.

I have legal gaurdianship of my son, who is 16. His father is totally out of the picture. But his mother, my son's grandmother - who he hates by the way, has forced visitation once a month until he's 18. I tried to get the visitation resolved so I could move to another state, which my lawyer thought would be no problem, but to our surprise the judge denied my motion. I was shocked to say the least. So my question is, what is the worst that could happen if I moved anyway? It wouldn't be kidnapping, but I would be in contempt. My best friend says she thinks nothing could be done to me unless I returned to the state where the order was issued - that the authorities wouldn't come looking for me in another state for breaking the visitation, specially being that I don't plan on giving a forwarding address. Has anyone had any similar experiences?
