No. The reason is that we do not have the manpower.

The US has been looking for a reason to go into Iran since they bombed the Embassy in 1984 (or was it 1985?). Also don't forget the hostages that were held in Iran for President Regan to welcome home...that whole situation was a big black eye for the US too. I don't know what motivation the British may or may not have...but all this crud in the Middle East needs to end...one way or another. Personally I think we should just leave them to figure out their problems on their own...or with help from the UN. NOT the US!
There are fundamental differences that won't allow the US to either understand the real issues in the Middle East or truly help solve them. That is for the people in the region to do. We should just buy the oil and leave....like any a good customer. We should be treated like a good customer as well. I know that is simplistic....but there is something to be said for keeping things simple...less mistakes & problems that way!!

Yeah, we rounded up a bunch of Iranians, and are holding them hostage in all the 7-11's (locked up 24/7)
We sent a airliner full of innocents with a Tomcat underneath it to sink the USS Vincenz. an Iranian missile frigate.
We've had millions turn out for "A death to Iran "demonstration..
We've had our greatest Religious Minds, like Pat Robertson, run off with our govt and seek Iranian deaths worldwide.
We've turned down all the relief from Iran during our natural catastrophes.
We bought a Russian reactor so as to have plenty of nukes to blow Iran out of the water.
We were even so bold as to take out Iran's #1 enemy, Saddam.
And Worse, employees of Ross Perot live here. And to add insult to injury, If it wasn't for us the Iranians would be at peace with the whole world, not anyone willing to kill them, and they'd be ignored. Instead they insist that the entire world target them with every nuke available. I just don't know how to provoke them any more.

No, I think Iran is trying to provoke the US and Britian into a three fronted war. That would be really bad for the US and Britian, but good for Iran, unless we just decided to nuke 'em and be done with it.

Iran is a country on the verge of a revolution. Their government needs a common enemy to unite its people so it can stay in power. They desperately need the US and Briton to engage in a military conflict; otherwise the Iranians will overthrow their gov. in the next 5 years.

It seems that this time we are actually trying to handle things diplomatically. However, it seems that Iran is trying to provoke US, Britian, and Israel into war. Proof? 15 British hostages, refusal to comply with UN and IAEA, and the list goes on.

I think that Iran, no check that, its leaders, want war. They want domination for its religion. The last thing these people want is a society that is free to make up its own mind, free to challenge its leaders, free like America.

Don't believe the news? perhaps we should paint ourselves blue and divine the facts from chicken's entrails? Or you could put down the crack pipe.
and by the way... War isn't good for our economy unless it's somebody else's army doing the fighting (assuming they buy our stuff, they usually buy Russian)
Also we don't get any of our oil from Iran so...

It is a little obvious they are trying to agitate us, but I believe they dont want any part of it to tell the truth. They know we would go through months of asking the UN(our enemy gathering point) for permission and sactions etc. etc.
I hope that we dont waste our time going that route as we did for 10 years with Iraq.
